The movie was good but a bit inaccurate. Firearms and cannons were really popular among Chinese troops during that time period. But the soldiers still continue to use swords and other ancient weapons throughout the film.

While for me, the story is actually good, It's not the main characters are at fault here. It's the cinematography and the director in general. Otherwise, it could've really been a very beautiful masterpiece after all.

I have watched many old Chinese movies, they are all awesome. But, this one lacking in direction, main lead actors are not good enough and plot twist is also not that good
