The piece of jewelry with the clips on each end is a sweater holder. You put your sweater on without buttoning it and holds it together at the neck.

The pearl thing with the 2 gold tone clips on it. That's a sweater clip. As late as the early 70s women would wear them to keep their sweaters on like a cape.

I would keep it too! 👍 Yup...The goldtone lone pendant has 2 round opals with the center oval opal. Beautiful. The gold tone clips with the pearls connecting them is for twin set, a sweater set. So you can wear sweater over your shoulders and not have to button it (arms not in the sleeves).

Many of those single sterling earrings you can sell as necklace pendants. That last one you sat down looks like a Star Trek symbol. That straggler single earring is silver. - The findings of that bracelet aren't silver but those filigreed leaves are. The opal pendent is set in gold. - All in all, you scored very well. I'd love to have those single silver earrings I could make some nice pieces with them. - You have two lovely Scottish pins and yes, they are made of a special type metal and look to be radium plated for the shine. They used to be made in pewter but not anymore.

My favorite piece is the old Scottish brooch. I was lucky enough to find a similar one at a thrift store in my neck of the woods, and I kept it also LOL. There are some good articles online with historical information about Scottish agate brooches which may help you date yours. They can command high prices. The "GTR" on the 10k ring is the maker's mark.

That's a lot of listing. Please let us know when the bulk of it makes it to the profit basement. My advice is don't give away any pieces from this lot until the money is recouped. Take gold to the jeweler and see how much he offers you for scrap. Hold on to the silver until you accumulate a lot so you could get some decent money. The clips and chain are to hold your sweater or cardigan together. The ones that don't have button or if you are just wearing the sweater over your shoulders the clips keep it from falling off of you.

I didn't get a very good look at it but when you were showing the Sterling silver earrings was the one that was clear Look like a glass stone, have what looks like a seed in the center? if so it may be a mustard seed. i remember them from the 50's and 60's. probably started soon. not sure of the fish hook but could have been added later. true vintage if it is. After all of her promises and what you paid for that jar I would definitely be going back and asking for the mate to the odd earrings.

Gold clips with pearls between...1950s sweater holder. Put on upper collar of your cardigan, wear over your shoulder. Very fashionable in the day! Difficult to find now. The other bracelet attached to the jar is mid-50s. Filigree. Some were Sterling, so someone probably thought it was.

That stone cross says "Miracle" on the back. I see a lot of vintage Miracle pieces on Etsy going for $12-$30 or so. I also found the website for Miracle, and the Chromed pewter pieces are listed at around $13.

Don't let all the negative people get you down. Even if you sell cheap you'll make your money back and then some easily. I make on average $4 a piece on the cheap pieces I sell at $6.50 so it won't take much for you to make some $$$ with such a haul of nicer pieces.

the black cat maybe silver.. judging from how the stones are set... when youre thrifting look at the back. if it has holes like that, its likely to be real stones too.. real gems are costly to be just pasted on like in costume jewelry, 17:08 might be real .. i have made to order jewelry from silver and goldsmiths who cant afford a stamp ... just coz its not marked doesnt mean its not real.. same goes for stuff from china, just coz it says 925 it doest mean its real silver...
