Final PDT Expansion FLT

I’m proud to report that the Flight Expansion activities that were just concluded yielded fantastic results. We completed all planned test cards and a few extra cards that were added due to the strengths of our exceptional flight test team. This includes support from our Rotor System developers at Eagle Technologies. Their technical expertise in Coaxial Rotor Systems is unmatched.

Increase in Fwd. Velocity
Which included Tunned speed and acceleration tests
Flight Test with all Cowlings Installed
Hover Test with External Payload Cargo Pod
In Ground Effect and Out of Ground Effect

Piloted take off and land
Piloted Cruise
Piloted Fwd. velocity runs
Automated Takeoff and Land
Automated heading hold
Automated cruise and “mission pattern”
Automated return to home (mission abort)
Automated home hold in hover
Increased External Payload Hover tests in and out of Ground Effect
Girded by the results of these accomplishments; Phenix now looks forward to the operational integration Flight Testing of the Ultra 2XL for our various Department of Defense Customers, International Clients, and Civil Launch customers. These mission specific tests will include external slung load tests, increased velocity tests that all push the edges of already impressive performance envelope of the Ultra 2XL.
