Not to be a negative Ned, but I don't know about that stove being on that outside corner wall. I can see a hot flame and a pot putting too much heat on that wooden wall. I just don't know if it should have been more towards the middle
@111scone17 күн бұрын
Also elbows hitting the wall, at least put a cabinet to the left of the stove, get it off the wall.

What they need to do is put something fireproof on the wall next to the burners and it would be safe😊
@QuietCottage17 күн бұрын
I would not use a stove/oven placed next to a wall or other appliance. I preferred the original layout of the cabinets. I do not think it is safe and I feel having cabinet & counter space next to the cooking surface is essential.
@katrinagauld734016 күн бұрын
I agree om a kitchen designer the other layout was nicer. The gas stove against the wall is a safety hazard.

Be careful with the front left burner in that stove if that's a vinyl window. It will warp or melt it. Also not sure that wood wall next to the burner is a good idea but it looks good

@garysuderman17418 күн бұрын
Jay, I recently unboxed my dual fuel generator and in the manual it stated to wrap the fuel fittings and anything Propane related fittings when storing because of spiders making nest and clogging them up. You might have had some of the gas leaking because of that and once it opened up the blockage, it caused more gas to ignite and making a flash of extra gas burning at once. Same goes for outdoor gas grills. You have an compressor, so it might be wise to blow off all those cob webs after sitting in the garage/shed a while.

Lowe's often has countertops greatly reduced, however, what you got works well. Live edge natural sawmilled epoxied countertops are beautiful if I stated it correctly. I have seen some in home built campers and log cabins and they were amazing if you ever get tired of what you have and have time to make them.

The kitchette looks great! I like the contrasting countertop with the cabinets and walls. Amazon has several RV sinks advertised, fold down faucets and covers. I bought 2 for my "under construction" cabins, they were $120 each. Really nice additions to the cabin! Love what ya'll are doing 😊

Some walnut nobes for the pull out drawers... and trim around windows so its cowardanated in the look. I don't think I would stain too dark on the walls and cabinets as its going to look fine.... practice out in the parking area to see what looks good for off setting color matches... floor should be fairly light to keep the dirt from spoiling view.... happy new year kids

- Uhmmm… measuring cabinet depth and counter top depth at Menards might have offset your drawer dilemma. - to secure your counter top to lower cabinets use screws. Screw through cabinet supports into counter. Glue will hold but you might have used your squeeze vises to secure counter down to cabinet until glue dried. Anyway your project sure looks nice and functional.

You should have put a piece of 3/4 inch plywood on top before countertop then you would not have an issue with the top To low. That is the way it is normally done.

Love the dark color of the counter top! Its a great contrast. Did you get the end cap kit pieces for the counter that you iron on the ends? You just don't want the ends to get wet, as it is that particle board material and it will swell up if it gets wet. The end especially next to the stove I would do for sure. The other end you might run a bead of clear silicone caulk just to be on the safe side. Little cabin is looking awesome 😊
