It's true. That moment where Chris is effectively lifting Ola with one arm had me almost picking my jaw up off the floor in shock - I'd never seen him do such amazing lifts before. The whole dance was a joyous experience, and (along with his sublime Charleston) showed just how much Strictly (and I) will miss Chris as a dancer and entertainer. Bravo, Team Cola! :)

I met them as they were training I think it was week 7 about then and they are so lovely and while I was doing my ballet exam they sat in the cafe having tea with my mum and grandad talking about my dance exam. They are so wonderful and polite and they definitely deserved it!

I know - I've already lost count of how many times I've watched this between last night and this morning. I can't help myself from dancing in my chair, either, which says an awful lot about how infectious this routine is :)

for me there is always one show dance which is miles better than the other and that is always the decider on who the winner is and it it always the winners show dance. this was SO much better than Ricky's - it was fun, it was infectious, it showed that Chris has improved and it was such a wonderful dance!! Chris and Ola got my support & they were worthy winners. Yes, Ricky was the better dancer but Chris went on THE JOURNEY. And thats what counts. Amazing final dance. Worthy Winners.

Yeah, I'd definitely go with that. I watch Chris' dances again and again on here (all while dancing in my chair :)) because they're so much fun, and they cheer me up a great deal. Ricky's dances were very good indeed, but they never had that kind of effect on me.

Honestly that was the thing that year. Ricky and Ali were so good but because they had all those little problems the judges kept picking up on they sort lost appeal as time went on, Chris didn't, he just threw himself into it and kept making people smile

Yeah, that's about the size of it - Team Cola went out onto the dance floor every week and just had a great time, which then translated into performances full of epic win :)

@krij236 It's a freestyle. Basically that means you can do anything you like in the 90 seconds. A good freestyle combines several dance styles and as several people have already said has the fun factor. Lifts are allowed but not so many that it ceases to be a dance and becomes a weightlifting competition!!

I'd expect the 'Great' British public are all perfectly aware that Ricky is a better dancer, but they just don't care. Chris is an entertainer and Ola Jordan deserves that glitterball trophy after turning him into a dancing entertainer.

Agreed. Like Len said in the final, Ola & Chris went on a journey over the course of the show, and Chris ended that journey as a blisteringly entertaining showman. Team Cola's performances exemplified the spirit of Strictly.

The "Ola Fortuna" thing is something that the BBC really should have picked up on when they posted the video. It's not something Auntie Beeb should really be doing, what with being a national broadcaster and everything. But yeah, Chris did well with what he had and backed it up with endless enthusiasm. And Team Cola's routines were always far more entertaining than the other contestants - which is what the show's all about, really.

Yeah, I'd go with that. Colin Jackson's silly show dance with the puppets definitely lost it for him when he'd been the front runner all through the series, and Tom "2008's Dark Horse" Chambers' amazingly enjoyable show dance from last year gave him a massive advantage over Rachel Stevens.

I LOVE CHRIS! Wow, Ola was defo working him hard. He's wouldn't have been able to do all the lifts 14 weeks ago, Len was right, he must have been at the spinich! I thought Ola was a much better chorographer than Natalie throughout the series, she knows how to dance with chris, while also showing him off. Also, what was with Ricky's neck lift? Bit weird I though.

@MrSinister1979 The show has to end some day, might as well end on a high. Its not about the favourite not winning. I like Chris and on the night he was fantastic. I knew he was going to win from last week. The popularity factor is huge.

Only a moron would suggest that Chris is a better dancer than Ricky (or Ali...or Jade...or Zoe...), but don't begrudge the guy his moment in the sun. He worked his bollocks off to be the best he could and it isn't his fault the "Great" British public doesn't know shit from clay. Good luck to the guy. He and Ola provided great entertainment, and I for one thoroughly enjoyed watching them.

Strictly is not the X-Factor, so don't treat it as such. If bad singers win the X Factor it is a travesty because that is a programme about talent, and something is actually made from it at the end of the day. Strictly is purely about entertainment and C class celebs just having fun. Chris and Ricky BOTH deserved to win, and for different reasons.

Rigged vote? Heh. Think about this, then: Tom Chambers wasn't the best dancer last year, and he won at the expense of Rachel Stevens, the better dancer. Darren Gough wasn't the best dancer his year either, and he won it as well. Colin Jackson was the best dancer his year, and he failed to win (mostly because of that silly show dance he did with the puppets). Was the vote rigged then too? Has it been rigged since Natasha Kaplinsky (also BBC) won it? Come on, you're grasping at straws now.
