I like Soarin’ as an attraction, but I think I prefer the newer one better. Hear me out: the reason why is because the newer one incorporates scent as well as having some effects such as water. Also the transitions felt kind of natural to me

I feel the new one lacks the majesty and natural beauty, uses far too much CGI that looks jarringly unconvincing like the fake Taj Mahal, and is just a downgrade from the original.

+Matthew Higinbotham Soarin' is re-opening on July 1st of this year. So I am happy to inform you that you will take flight! The Frozen ride is also scheduled to open this summer (however the exact date depends on the progress of the imagineers). It's safe to say that this opening date selection is so that Disney can compete with Universal re-opening the Hulk and opening the new King Kong rude.

Matthew Higinbotham The rumor has been supported by sources that are often accurate. So I suspect it's more than a speculation. Besides...it's easy to put a defined date on something that is movie-based like Soarin (as opposed to a dark ride attraction where physical construction has a more variable timeline). But regardless it should be reopening this summer at some point. Disney needs to compete with the re-opening of the Hulk.
