This sums up my feelings about the Joel win EXACTLY. Joel only one the this season because he had to learn throughout the previous seasons. In the previous seasons, he was too aggressive, made too many enemies, too reckless, and that led to his downfall. He started learning somewhat in Secret Life, but he only managed the top five, because, naturally, he picked a fight with his arch-nemesis, Scott. However, this season he finally had enough self control to not rush in and try to slaughter people, so he remained the last green, last yellow and the winner.

I love this comment, because it points to not only how unique his win was, but the uniqueness of each members win. Grian won with loyalty to the end, Scott one without ever giving up what he stood for (surrendering to the boogie curse), Pearl had to face it all on her own (hers and martyns are my favorite), Martyn taking his chance on his own rules, everyone was so unique and incredible, and this just showcases how wonderful Joel’s victory was.

If anyone asked me about Joel's progression throughout the life series, I would immediately send them this. It's the perfect showcase of how each and every season, every tiny experience, every interaction, positive and negative, has forged his way to his win in wild life. He started off and made mistakes like everyone does, and over time has watched and learnt and grown and changed his ways... And in the end, it paid off. He has his win, and it's genuinely completely and utterly of his own doing, and it is so, so, deserved. (as you can tell im completely normal about joel ^_^ i could talk forever about his win and how much he worked for it and deserves it)
