Despite all the money he has, you can see how much it means to him TO WIN...and of course to be mentioned in the same breath as Seve! Love Rory's honesty, innocence and willingness to show his emotions...plus he ain't too shabby as a player!!!

I dunno…the anti-Rory crowd here is a little hard to fathom. Listening to him speak after winning, all the money in the world, all the wins, his respect for Seve, and his desire to cement his legacy as one of the best to ever play is apparent. He might not when them all, but he pretty much gives himself a chance wherever he plays! I also respect the European players for playing all over the world, on all types of courses and conditions, unlike the majority of American players, that only chase the good weather around the US. These forums give folks the platform to say what they like, and everyone is entitled to their opinion, but as they say, “Opinions are like a-holes, everybody has one!” Instead of being so petty and negative, why not comment on the beauty of his game - one of the best swings of all time, to be sure! Congrats, Rory!

Thinking your deriding the PGA tour without understanding much of it's history/legacy and the fact that players don't chase good weather or decide where the tournaments are played. Some of those events are over a hundred years old like the Texas Open, the oldest that has stayed in the same city. The modern game began in Scotland, but the DP world tour ( very strong tour ) is STILL a springboard tour TO the PGA Tour even with it's own great history and players.

@@S7Vmv Do you play golf? Ever try to shoot 4 rounds under par in consecutive play? Anyone of the top 100 golfers in the world can win a tournament. It's that competitive. He is now married and still competes at a high level and has one of the best swings in golf. Good enough for me and many others that follow him!!

Terrific win and a great way for him to end the year. He had a tremendous year by anyone else's standards but gets loads of criticism because of his overwhelming talent. Legendary player in his prime. Hope he continues to rack up the wins and silence his critics.

Silence the critics and the haters Rory… you’re a class act. A ninth season long title, 3 FedEx Cups and now a 6th Race To Dubai, and still not done yet. That will take some beating. There’s more to golf than just the Majors, but there are more coming your way. DPWT Playoffs were just awesome this year. And this week in Dubai is a far more exciting finish than the snooze fest of East Lake.

What tough year for Rory, and such a great way way to end it. Golf scoring is so strange while a round is happening, just look at 17 and they both card a par 3 in very different ways with so much on the line.
