Another great choice replay, of a great match. Jeremy, your perfectly tuned voice partnered with your knowledge and presentation, make the experience very enjoyable. Your conditioned pause in consideration of the player's plan all make your play by play call of the match one of the two or three best and enjoyable among all the greats. Thank you. Keep them coming.

38:15 was a foul. Download the video and check frame by frame. The noise came at the same time the the cue ball clipped the cue. It was very light, but it was there. And no the noise didn’t come from the cue and the helping tool as they were joined

Tenth rack when he uses the rest, 38:15, if you watch closely and listen, the tip of the cue clips the cue ball. Should've been called a foul. How this got missed when they played it back is slow motion is unbelievable.

No way...a perfectly legal hit. In slow motion the audio is extended creating a "missed cue" like sound, this is not it. I have watched this extensively and the reason it was not called is because it was "obviously" a good hit.

At 38:06 that was 100% a foul. Cue ball definitely double hit the cue. You can hear it and see the cue ball change direction. He watched it 3 times and didn't even comment on it....

The cue was on the rest. That's the sound you heard and the cueball definitely didn't change direction. As fast as that cueball was traveling you would definitely know if the tip struck it.

There was no foul. If the cue ball had touched Shane's tip, the cue ball would have changed direction much more significantly. The cue ball changed direction due to the english Shane used. Plus the referee was watching the shot and would have called foul if there was a foul.

@@JimJones-kk8pb yes anything can happen but this wasn't winners break. Your talking as if he was 5-0 down in a winners break format where he can run a 5 pack right back like it's no problem. He had to come back from Kaci here and was getting very very unlucky in the beginning stages. I understand you may be a Kaci fan but just give shane his credit and move on! This wasn't easy to do and both played very well.

I don't believe it was. I know visually it looked like it might have been and also there was a sound right as the cue ball was at the tip, but... from a physics standpoint, the cue ball took the right path based on the fact Shane hit it with top spin. The slick cloth caused the cue ball to slide out off the rail before slightly changing direction due to the top spin. Also, I think the sound that we hear was actually the bridge and his cue bouncing off each other as SVB attempted to move them quickly out of the way. I think had it actually been a foul, the cue ball would have lost more speed and likely deflected more to another direction, but it appears the cue ball never lost any speed at all.
@nnazmussakibb
@nnazmussakibb Жыл бұрын
@@chili015 watch clearly. When the cue makes the sound the ball changed the direction. Though its stupid to argue about this but I wont change my mind
@chili015
@chili015 Жыл бұрын
@syednazmussakib3343 - The cue ball changed direction because of the top spin grabbing the felt after the initial slide off the rail. If the cue ball had hit the cue on the way back, it would have lost speed and deflected more to the right. Again, it visually looks like a foul because the angle of the camera is above eye level, but the physics involved suggest there's no way his cue could have hit that ball again... the ball would had to have lost speed running into something, but it never slowed down.

I think the sound was from his cue and the bridge bumping into each other when he lifted them quickly after the shot.
