We are so happy to finally be sharing episode 1 of our final adoption trip with you. Thank you all for your patiences and understanding while we adjust to our new life with Suzie. We needed this time to bond with her and pay attention to her and our other children's needs as we learn to function as a family of six. Things couldn't be better at our home. She is such a joy! We love her so very much and are so happy that she is finally home. Thank you all for your love and support!

Austin is a great place to visit, too. The steak in your city is sickly good and the best of my life. The same quality steaks in Taiwan and just half size from yours end up cost me 4400NTD........😂

We love Austin and I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit. Yes, tons of great places to eat here. Steakhouse Grills, Barbeque and the Mexican food are all amazing. However, we crave Taiwanese food and wish we could eat it everyday.

If you don't mind that I ask you this question. Since you have children of your own, why bother to adopt more? Is it for charity purposes? Or for religious reason?
@HobsonTribe
@HobsonTribe 5 жыл бұрын
We don’t mind you asking at all! It was never a question of whether we had biological children or not. We knew before we married that we both wanted to adopt. We looked into it every year of being married, and the moment we were in a good position (financially, not moving to a new house, age, etc.) we adopted. It was really hard to wait, but we love children and believe they are blessings. Being a mom is my greatest joy. We hope we can eventually do foster care too, but we are going to focus on our kiddos now until they are grown. In fact, almost all of my previous jobs were with kids. I just think they are awesome! And every kid and teen deserves a family. If she only knew how much she is the one blessing our family!

@@HobsonTribe Thank you for kindly responded to my question! One thing I notice that in the adoption stories in the news all the time. Once the kid has grown up to be an adult, she will have irresistible urge to find her biological mother. Will that be an issue for you in the future?
@HobsonTribe
@HobsonTribe 5 жыл бұрын
We want to respect her personal story as much as possible, so that it can be her story to tell personal details later if she chooses, but we have actually already spoken to her about hopefully being able to reconnect with biological family when she is ready. She was very happy about that possibility. We also have enrolled her in local Taiwanese school to help her stay connected to her culture and language. She has been having fun making local Taiwanese friends. One of her doctors speaks Chinese and used to live in Taiwan, and we frequent many of her favorite Taiwanese restaurants and markets locally.

And actually a dear friend of mine was adopted and just reconnected with her birth mom! It was emotional for her, but she had a very good experience. I was thankful to be a part of her experience, and that she trust me to open up about what she was going through. :)
