I started playing the game with the anniversary and I'm already dropping it. I have the full team and it still does not run smoothly. If that's what the devs do for the anniversary team, I don't want to see the other teams. Whoever decided to make Blanc worse than a collab character that can no longer be obtained should be fired.

As a new player, pulling the whole anni team, it is extremely limited to run without the correct charm, which a new player cannot access. Does not make you enjoy the game and want to stick with it

I mean, yeah not having a charm does hurt you. But it's far from a necessary thing to do early game content.

I think you missed the higher expenses aspect of the characters, as it really makes it feel like this team is meant for older players and not new ones. This team, especially on a new account, is unbelievably bad. Even if you get all of them, the cost simply is to high.

it'd be great if they just kept the EX unbound rarity as an anniversary exclusive... doubt they'll do that though

That would be great, because the Unbound characters as stupidly expensive. They take way too much Magic Stones and Shards if you want to dupe them

I've been a f2p player since launch and atleast logged in every day (maybe missed 1 or 2 due to rl stuff) and honestly I agree with you. I'm not a min-max type, I just like to play casually, build the tempest areas (unlike you xD) and read the storys... With my S9, the game still isn't that performant (I used an S5 up until a year and a half ago, which was unusable for talking to 7 characters), but still, it is fun to play. Because of being free to play, I had saved around 9k crystals and now I am at around 1k. I needed the entire team because I barely pulled (good characters) anything and my gacha luck with tickets is abysmal and thus couldn't clear the major difficulties. Now I finally can, but the price was huge with around 8k. It was really an okay-ish anniversary, but they fumbled the team. Dmg wise it's okay, but they don't harmonize very well...

I would have liked to see the blanc ult swap buff support ults to give gauge increase as if they were a green orb

I know this is extreme but they're gonna need to fire somebody on the Devs team. Imagine skipping 3-4 banners(which also they released meh units, imo) just to save for the anniversary team, however, they build this team that can't coexist with each other to begin with, since they don't provide proper green orb changers on this team. Their decision making really sucked at this point. I guess they really love Velzard as a protector and will get a good unit once in a blue moon.

I started this game, and it was first released. I enjoyed first 6 months, then quit for a bit and I am back. This game started about 2 weeks ago. Yes I ended up spending a lot of money where I made Raphael dialblo Blanc masked hero all 120. It is fun to start the game again, but I feel like, as u said, the complicated mechanism of divine general is ruining a few parts of the game. However, as u said, Joker, it is nice to give more Cristal for newbies and returning users like me. Also I think it would be nicer if they promote the game better, where being honest as myself a Korean player, I have never seen another player here in Korea play this game 😢 Still thanks for the information as usual Joker. Depending on what phone you have and what OS its using, it could be non-optimized. Android 14/15 phones will have issues, or older phones.

I’d rate the anniversary a 6. I’d argue I am not a long time player nor a new player. Team wise, 100% agree. It sucks to run. I’m super lucky to have Overlord Shizue and so I’m able to make the team work. My biggest issue is as mentioned it can take 30 minutes to finish a run. It takes super long and really has me appreciating burst teams now. If that was all fine… but thats not the biggest issue. Why do I need to spend 30 minutes to get a run? Like unless the starting hand is fixed this team sucks to run. I’m at a point that if I cannot beat a stage with my scrapyards of a burst team then I sigh, whip out the overlord team and go from there. Why overlord? Because it means I can play the game and complete missions. Only when even that cannot beat it will I do the Divine General team. It shouldn’t be a last resort IMO. Now why a 6? Well overall I’m using Joker as a baseline. I drop the score by 0.5 because of my reluctance to use the team. The other 0.5 drop (from a 7) is the missions. They really are busy work. Like I don’t have any fun re-completing content. After I put Jubilee down I haven’t had much reason to log in. I do the dailies, pick a mission to parallel, and get off. I’m just not picking up the game unless I’m tired of watching speedruns or KZbin.

hey @Icecoldjoker if you were dev, what crit skill would you have one of the DG units give that would be good but not too OP/can't be powercrept? if you were to make it big time crit damage what force restrictions or element resitriction would you add to crit skill as to try to limit use of crit skill/so it wouldn't break the game?

ic, maybe I haven't noticed. I think there is an reason why they made blanc have 150% ult damage instead of of just copy and patsing from hero's skill but crit, likely they didn't want meta to do too much damage for what they have planned in upcoming meta. something like 100% crit rate and 30 or 40% increased crit damage would had about the same damage output as 150% ult damage. while it may had be mid it would still be an better buff than simply just 150% ult damage

Good rant from Joker as always! For me personally, I would prefer the free 30 crystals you get from the character introductions than dupes because I don't summon on the 2 other banners that you told NOT to summon 😂😂😂😂, so the dupes would be wasted!

Well to start with i should talk about how i see the 3rd anni. So i don't see this as a Meta, but as an introduction of a new type of playing units and the upgrade in power. And by this i mean that the anni units are like units dropped for the new rarity that can work in multiple types of teams like Synergy, pierce and Soul of Combo dmg boost(on the unbound level) and now we need the crit. As for types this is a green team so we need a blue and orange one as well to heave the options for all 3 types when it comes to unbound. As for f2p stuff we got there were a lot and i can't say its bad but i do miss the free dups. So for older players its not that bad but for new players that don't heave great gear, materials, charms and other stuff i would say starting with the anni will be painful cuz a lot of the content dropped for the anni can't be cleared by new players. So i would call it an introduction team for then a meta team.

Rewards are definetly better than 2nd anni. The team? VoC for sure. The free dupes aren´t as big of a deal imo as they don´t mean shit if you get shafted... this is a lot more impactful for whales who 120 them. There was always plenty of stuff to do and especially material wise we got a lot (rookie missions, kaijin, 8*gear material missions etc) Content: 9/10 Rewards: 8.5/10 Team: 5/10 Diablo really pulls the team up. The banner/force is also just a major killer. For VoC the tiny force doesn´t matter cause only the primal demon nukers are necessary to be on the force. DG crippeling your pts if you bring non-force substitutions is what really drives the nail in the coffin.

the new milil helps gazel a lot for the beginning, you can have a lot of points with her, and with diablo, you can convert a lot, juste need a skill point booster in support and two of the big three

Game rates with summons are complete trash! Get nothing unless you spend a lot of money and pity units..Only unit ive gotten since playing for months is the new protection unit from anni! Just Grind and everything locked until you get citizens up so grinding story then grinding grinding grinding. Then you get trash units its seems from this video review.

i love elmesia and diablo but others need some work, didn't pull for blanc or the hero since they are useless, would've 100% pulled for blanc if she was a general ultswapper, I only have 1,5 anni masked hero for green so max I did with main 3+gazel 0.5 and 1.5 anni masked hero was around 41 million, damage wise great but a lot and I mean A LOT of rng is required, gazel sucks very much, for stages that don't need like above 10m will replace him with f2p geld and 1st anni skill-fused milim. it's still nice to have it since the strongest team I had before was exalted champions without rimuru
