I watched this on a call with my friend, we are 17 and it took us 2 hours to finish it because we kept pausing to talk about the scenes and how excited we are to make movies together. I have so much to say but I don’t want to make a super long essay in the comments about my passions and goals. Point is, you all fr cooked 🗣️💯🔥

theres something so raw about how even after all of the blood smeared across the tree from all four people, its shown at the end as having little to no impact on the final work. it alludes to these ideas of how people never see the process or everything an artist may have sacrificed in the final work. that ultimately everything you pour into such a massive piece of your work could never be seen. the only ones that know were the ones there to experience the process of it. i love the way it shows art as a process and how it affects the finished piece. we saw the process, we saw the lipstick and the blood and how hard it echoed that it just "needed a little more work." then when all was said and done and time had past, most of that wasn't visible. if anyone just walks by the tree they'll see a face and wonder how it got there or who did it. we witnessed the suffering both the artist and their friends had to go through. i wasn't expecting this to have such a level of intention in what it's saying. i was ready to watch spooky movie. what the fuck.

Man this is probably one of the best short films I’ve seen in a very long time. The creativity is unmatched, the shots are so well done and I just can’t get over how the idea of an over-obsessive artist translates to both the film that they are shooting, and themselves in real life. Awesome stuff.

That was really excellent! I loved the muted orange tang of the film, it gave a tangy feeling that suited it. I think the story was amazing!
