I can honestly say that following the tour around for a week trying to “collect” songs was the best experience I think I’ve ever had. It was so much fun!!! The only disappointment was that I didn’t try to see more shows, 5 times was just not enough!!!

Just a quick message to say thank YOU!! Thank you for just being you, and for being so incredibly kind at the meet and greet in MK! I was such a bag of nerves and anxiety but you made me feel so at ease and so welcome with the biggest hug. I never normally come to stage door due to nerves but I knew I’d regret if I didn’t go for the meet and greet which I knew would be a more intimate setting! The whole experience, meet and greet and show, felt like a chat with a friend. And the show itself, I was absolutely mind blown!! I laughed with you, cried and was just totally in awe of such a talented lady. I hope you realise how much of a difference you make by just being an utter ray of sunshine, onstage and online. Kindness truly radiates from you and it’s such a breath of fresh air when someone you genuinely look up to because of their undeniable talent is such a lovely human being. They say don’t meet your idols, but they’ve clearly never met you🫶🏻❤️

I flew in from the U.S. the day before (first time in the UK!) and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I'm so glad I got to show you my Heathers tattoo AND hear I Say No! If you go on tour again, I'll be booking my plane ticket ❤️

When you sing On My Own, I get so emotional because there are so many memories and emotions attached to that song. I found you back in late 2012 early 2013 and so hearing you sing that song brought back so many memories. I am so happy that you found the tour to be a fun and enjoyable experience. Here is to many more memories and tours in the future.

I remember the heckle of "you're doing great" from the Bradford show and absolutely losing it. Also hearing the inevitable in Glasgow was honestly so amazing. The joy I felt when I realised what song it was was insane. So proud of everything that this tour became and how well you pushed on through everything no matter what.

Loved your Glasgow show, my 2 children aged 23 and 15 managed to be 1st in line at stage door. We have been lucky enough to meet you 3 times before. 1st in 2018 after Heathers my son was 18 at the time and suffers from anxiety you made him so happy then after Cinderella he felt confident enough to go to stage door, we then were behind you in the queue at Disney Hollywood studios waiting for rock n roller coaster everytime you have been so kind and patient.

I think I will forever be sad that I never got to see this tour. I really love your work - of all kinds! - and this seems like precisely my cup of tea. Congratulations on the success of the show and I'm so glad it ended on such a good note.

I remember when you were cast as Eponine the first time, and so thrilled to be singing On My Own for that role... Now to see you singing it in your OWN show, so many years later, it's been a privilege to know you (even if only through the internet!) you have matured and grown but you're still the same passionate, kind-hearted Carrie that middle school me looked up to! Much love from Canada

It was absolutely magical Carrie! Every bit of it, the set, the band, the stories, and of course you were shining on stage every time I saw you! I think the only song I didn’t get to ‘collect’ was Monster, which is one of my favorites, so I will continue to gently pester the production team for an album 😉 thank you for including some clips of songs in this! I came to Liverpool there where a few very well timed heckles from the audience 😂 I am so glad you have came out of with such a positive experience and not the feeling of sheer terror about doing it again as the show was incredibly created and performed. I genuinely think you (and the rest of the team) created something special and would love to see what else you could come up with in the future.

I was always amazed at how you (and other performers) manage to perform on stage every night and how open and friendly you are with people, especially strangers. I often thought to myself: me and my social anxiety could never.. The fact that you were diagnosed with social anxiety and still did meet and greets, had changing set lists every night, travelled to so many places and met so many people is AMAZING. Doing all of that with social anxiety is no easy task, you must be so proud of yourself. Social anxiety sometimes makes me feel like I am the only person in the world to feel that way and that there must be something wrong with me, so thank you for sharing that with us. It made my heart smile and made me feel less alone

13:40, hi Carrie. I was one of your Liverpool hecklers. You started your "A Teenage Obsession" set piece with, "Friday, eighth of June... 2007," and when you took that next full breath I had to scream out the obligatory "DEAR DIARY!!!!" I was actually super divided after that, despite your laughter, on if I'd been obnoxious, so it's super easing on my mind to know you appreciated it. I was Thomas, the guy dressed like Veronica. Super glad I got to meet you and clog the line for 20 minutes asking you all those technical questions. If you ever do another tour, I'll be there!

I was there for the Southampton show at The Mayflower in May and I can't explain how much I agree with the 'safe space' comment - I had been struggling with anxiety and was there by myself, but knowing at the time that you were struggling with anxiety over the tour as well and were still able to get up on stage every night really gave me the encouragement to push through mine to be there! I'm so so glad I did and was absolutely in my element the entire time. I had seen you in Les Mis in 2015 and again at The Mayflower in 2017 with Addams, but to have come again as an adult was incredible. I wish I had been able to meet you but the lines were absolutely crazy, understandably. Count me in for every tour to come, thank you so much for pushing through your fears and putting on the amazing show you did!

Collecting the songs was so much fun! Each show, the anticipation of waiting to see if I had heard a particular story or if it was a new one was the best! I purposely voted for the stories I thought people wouldn’t pick just to see if I could hear them all! The excitement was real! Gutted I didn’t get to hear you sing Monster though! But a massive thank you to you for facing your fears and creating this magical show. It was lovely to see a little bit of the real you and thanks for taking time out and being so lovely and kind at all the meet & greets. And thanks for giving me a place to escape just for a little while and for the laughs that made my face ache! You have such a way of story telling, I never got tired of hearing the same story multiple times and there’s no denying I could watch you perform on stage all day long. The only question is when can we do it again?!

I am so pleased you enjoyed the show so much 💚 My anxiety was through the roof in the lead up to the meet and greet, but I knew I’d regret it forever if I didn’t make myself go. I don’t know if I’ll ever make it to a London show, so the opportunity to not only finally see you perform live but also to meet you, and somewhere fairly local to me (Southampton) and where I’d been before and knew I could do, was a dream. It’s incredibly rare for me to externally express much emotion, particularly tears, when around other people, so I’m the one that never cries at films or shows even if I’m feeling it inside, yet throughout your show all the emotions just tumbled out and I couldn’t have stopped them had I wanted too, I laughed, I cried, I beamed with happiness and adoration. Each and every story and song was incredible and the stage set was just perfect. I was mesmerised the whole show and could have watched it all over again as soon as it finished. I practically floated home, literally on cloud nine. Thank you for….everything 🤗 xx

Looking at this from the outside, I can understand the feeling of “it’s scary to play as myself” because of how personal the show is. But in a way, it’s as if this was your Tick Tick Boom; everything is based on your life and your experiences, but it’s still a little bit fictional. So you could say you were playing a Carrie-cature (wow, that was a bad pun, I’m so sorry) of yourself. Either way, whether it was your performer brain hitting autopilot, having met audience members prior who made it feel less impersonal, or building an aural safe space with the band and in-ears, you gave an amazing performance every night and created art that will resonate for a long time.
