I use Denatured Alcohol in my stove, you can also use “Heat” fuel additive ( for when water gets in to your fuel system, not sure if you see it much down south. It’s in every convenience store in Maine). You may also need some sort of pot stand so air can feet the flame. I use “Trail Designs” alcohol stove as my go to for backpacking, they’re very fuel efficient, light weight and silent.
