I headcanon that every time someone insults Leo's brothers he memorizes their face and later teleports into their house to leave a list of reasons why whatever they said was stupidly inaccurate with a little note at the end to make sure they know Leo can always come back if they need a refresher on why they shouldn't insult his family. Immediately after the initial insult, he makes sure to compliment his brothers and talk up all their best points. By contrast, his reaction to insults thrown at him is "that's probably accurate," and then he just leaves, while behind his back his brothers subtly and silently threaten the guy before following Leo.
