I know the chances of Metaphor winning Game of the Year are low (if for no other reason than it doesn't seem well-known enough to beat whatever big-name powerhouses are there this year), but either way, it is absolutely the game of the year in my heart!

i wouldn't count it out necessarily. roughly 90% of the decison for the winners are decided by a jury from the the game awards rather than the voters themselves. and if we go strictly off of critic scores and reviews, metaphor would theoretically be one of the frontrunners for GOTY. let's be hopeful!

Final Fantasy 16 ending spoiler: If I had a nickel for everytime a character voiced by Stewart Clarke (Dion and Strohl) made a last stand against the enemy in his transformed state to protect the protagonist, shouted some inspiring words before exploding, transformed back to his human form, looked up and said a final line to wrap up his character arc with a satisfied smile on his face, then fell to his demise, I would have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird it happened twice.

@@aresrivera9744 that's only one of the dialog options. The devs confirmed there is no romance in the game, so what's "canon" is up to the player's choice, unless the devs officialy confirm it. Romance links will probably be included in the sequel, and we'll be able to choose, just like the Persona games.

Ah, I finally finished, so I can watch the finale now! Thanks for going all the way through; it's been fun slowly advancing through your videos as I made my way through the game. As for voice actors you might have known... what about Devora "Lae'zel" Wilde?

The only thing I don't like about Louis as a villain is that it feels like he's a bit of a Mary Sue. Towards the beginning / middle of the game, I definitely felt like he was this untouchable presence, super powerful and dangerous. But then middle / late game he starts...losing to you. Pretty consistently. On top of the opera house we beat him. Duel in the capital, we beat him. Battle in the sky, we beat him. But every single time we beat him there's some BS that brings him back, and he just sort of looks smug and waxes philosophical about how he only cares about strength and he will be proven right by the people's will. It would have been nice to see more of a break in his armor, rather than have the game continue to tell us he's on top of the world when clearly we've seen him saved by the writing multiple times. Edit: Also, I don't particularly like his motivations in the end. Crystal says something to the effect of, "it's cool that he's not in it for revenge, and is trying to crush the entire system instead of just the one responsible party." I mean, that would be like saying, "You know, it's not just Nazis that are the problem, it's the entirety of society that allowed the Nazis to rise to power. Therefore, I will kill all of humanity to fix the Nazi problem."
