It’s not “memorized” per say. When you have thousands of notes you can’t memorize every one. You read patterns once you get to this level not as much individual notes. So getting high scores like this comes from recognizing patterns and being able to acc them from practice. Playing it again does help but it’s definitely not memorized, but at the same time it’s not sight read either.

When I play maps I only memorize gotchas or specific timing patterns (For example irregular timing between blocks. I don't know if other people can read that, but I have no binocular vision and I can't read that, only memorize it). On the other hand my second highest play was a sightread.

Its a bit of both, while he can’t memorize every block like people have said he definitely isn’t doing this for the first time, however I have talked to him on discord and he has said he actively focuses on hitting the center on blocks which takes insane mental concentration, but after playing the game for nearly 2000 hours you start being able to read patterns no matter how fast they are.
