But then, which one isn’t good, for you’ve never yet made any “bad” videos!! I know you put a lot into making your videos. Good content, and well planned out. We your fans love get’n to see our Molly Rose-or should I say the “AT-Rose”! Keep these videos coming, please! May you be blessed & encouraged in 2025!

The big question is how did you keep your hair so pretty on trail.😄Whether it was braided, in a bun or untamed you never had a bad hair day. And, your buffs and bands were the cutest. Ziggy must have been your secret hair stylist or you have some mighty fine genes.

Thank you 😊 I feel like I had at least a few bad hair days. Especially when I left my braids in for 3 days! 😬 Ziggy claims he can french braid, since he has three daughters, but I’ve never seen proof 🤔

I registered my start date yesterday. It will be my first thru-hike. I had read a review of a backpack that said the buckles had been damaged in transit because the whole bag was checked. I was thinking I should box up my whole bag, but thank for for the idea to just box the items I wouldn't be able to carry on and to keep the precious cargo with me. I don't normally comment on things, but I truly enjoy your wholesome content. You're a sweet soul, Molly, and I love how grateful you are for your experiences. Thanks for taking us along with you! :)

Great video with good information. I appreciate you stressing the importance of handling your food properly. Unfortunately, some people don't take care of their food or trash properly & yes, the bears will ne out & start coming to the sites. I’m really impressed with presence in the moment. Winging a Q & A video while hiking (and not falling) is sound. One more question for your next Q & A, did you shoes have a rock plate in them and would they help in the rocks of Penn and NH??
@mollyroseoutdoors15 күн бұрын
Thank you 😊 The lone peak Altras I wore didn’t have a rock plate. I have other pairs of Altras that do have a rock plate and thought about getting them sent to me. I ultimately decided not to because I didn’t think they would really help. But, since I didn’t try, I don’t know for sure 🤷♀️

Great video! You have been an inspiration to many people this year, which is a gift you were truly meant to share, I think. So, as you were blessed, you were also a blessing to others, just in showing how much one can gain by grit, determination and loving what you are doing. BTW/I am a believer in hiking poles, especially as I get older. For some of us more "seasoned" hikers, balance becomes a critical thing, and the poles do help keep you vertical on the trail.

So many things come to mind as you take us through the various questions and answers. I may have included these in previous comments - please forgive me if I have. "Stand still. The trees and bushes beside you are not lost. Wherever you are is called 'Here.' And you must treat it as a powerful stranger, must ask to know it and be known. The forest breathes. Listen. It answers. I have made this place around you. If you leave it you may come back again, saying, 'Here.' No two trees are the same to raven. No two branches are the same to wren. If what a tree or a bush does is lost on you, YOU are surely lost. Stand still. The forest knows where you are. You must let it find you."(David Wagoner). And - when you say certain things, your eyes give you away - you possess some of the qualities of an 'Old Soul,' having that 'Third Eye.' And you mention gratitude - Marcus Cicero had this to say: "Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all others." Be well, stay safe. 🥾

Well, I've hiked Kings many a time as well as the AT in 2017. I highly recommend doing the Elk/Kings Loop for a serious training hike. Most people go up Elk and down Kings. Elk will remind you of many the sections of "trail" on the AT. The two trailheads are connected by the Wilson River Trail, although I sometimes hitchhike or bike between the two.
