Microsoft should do a similar strategy to Nintendo and mix it with what they are doing. Stop trying to fight with sony and release quality games. And their hardware at a different time than sony. I could be wrong but I think if they released an upgraded console. Say 2 or 3 years after the pro. It might not work but it's worth a shot

There are other similar handhelds that exist now in the Steamdeck class that are far more powerful than the Steamdeck yet they sell even worse so power isn't Steamdeck's sales problem, it's just way too niche or a product and too expensive for mainstream gaming which is also why if Xbox hypothetically entered that same niche market it would be a waste of time since you can already access GamePass on those devices. 1mil sales would be generous if they made one, mostly bought by just hardcore Xbox fans. They'd be better off collaborating with Steam for their Steamdeck 2 and maybe make an optional Xbox case version with Xbox colours and logos for those that want something Xbox "official" rather than wasting time and money making their own which will flop.

Seriously the only thing I have to be excited about is 1. Xbox dropped the price for the trade in for the new console as it means 1 thing to me... a cheap clean and thermal paste renewal. 2 a new Elite Controller 3 with hall effect sticks and onboard center and axial deadzone adjustments and the ability to override aim acceleration in games. That is all I want.

I really think in my opinion this is just where I'm coming from as a gamer and all that that I think Xbox should always look for ways just to improve their hardware. Console exclusives don’t make sense for PlayStation and Xbox anymore it alienates players and only divides the market for Nintendo it somewhat makes sense as their consoles are cheep but 500 for a ps5 plus 450 for an Xbox just to have your game library split in two accounts doesn’t make sense to people, people only stick with Xbox or PlayStation is because they had the last generation and already owned games not because an exclusive got released. The only reason I’m swapping to Xbox is for backwards compatibility support no other reason
