Anything on how it does if yard is separated by a sidewalk?

Not a problem you can create 15 different zones.Just create a corridor to cross the sidewalk, easy peasy.

Problem is it won’t collect the grass which is cut have to do it manually and that’s the part I hate the most

It cuts so often that it just trims the top off and there's nothing to collect 👍

@@dazzat91 I don’t agree even if cuts a little then when you are going to walk over it that little with stick to your stuff especially during rainy season plus it that cut part dry up during summer it still looks bad

@@ak2790-k6o well it never does with me, it's very very small pieces that fall to the soil. But if you are concerned there is the yuka 1500 from mammotion that has a grass and leave collector and can automatically dump it in a location of your choosing. That could be a good choice :)

I bought a Luba 2 and Orion X7 Plus and tested them side by side this summer 2024. The Luba 2 software is more refined by early September 2024, opposite what I thought I would see. The Luba has a much more robust satellite RTK system. The Orion X7 lost signal more often and easily. I have a plush / thick lawn of Kentucky Bluegrass mowed at 3" in height. The Orion X7 would not mow well leaving uncut blades all over the lawn. I tried all mower speed settings and mow width settings with poor results. The Luba 2 cut much better. I contacted customer support before purchasing the Orion X7 with several questions on the mower's abilities. They basically lied about how close the mower will mow against edging and walls. After collisions with walls, falling off the street curb, customer service told me not to program closer than 6" to any boundary. The Orion leaves strips of un-cut grass between zones. Customer service said that was a known issue. The Orion does turn sharper than the Luba 2. I do not think the Orion X7 is ready for purchase yet. The claim to have a 30-day Money Back Guarantee, but they will not honor that.

Have you heard about the ANTHBOT Genie? It's on Kickstarter for $699-great price and seems to have similar features to the Luba 2.

You guys are misunderstanding what these robo mowers are designed for. They not meat to cut long grass. You get your lawn nice and neat, mow it with normal mower then let the robo mower maintain that graas. the robo mover just takes the fine tips off maintain the grass height. The cut grass tips falls inbetween your laws and creates a compost. The cut tips are so fine that you cant even see it.

This is a very well done, informed review! Thanks for putting in the time to learn about the product and the app, all the features & settings. And for knowing the tech in general. The whole reason I'm watching the review is to learn more about THIS specific product, than is listed on Amazon. I just wasted a whole bunch of time watching a review by an idiot who didn't know Diddley about the product, or even robot mowers in general! (I think he normally reviews "drones" for kiddies. The level of stupidity was just frustrating, as he "learned" new things that were obvious to the rest of us!) I'm really glad I found your review. ***NOTE: I don't think it'll handle 35 degrees, like you stated, I think the specs say 35%, which is NOT the same! ---- I do have a few nitpicks for ya, so you can make even better reviews in the future : ~1:00. No, those are not "specs," those are FEATURES. You need to learn the difference. (BTW, I agree: if I'm gonna have a robot mower, i want it to LOOK cool, especially in the yard!) ~2:20 RTK stands for Real-Time Kinetics. GPS doesn't have good enough accuracy for a mower, so to get centimeter-level precision, the RTK unit sends an "error signal" to the mower. The "vision system" helps the mower identify things around it, to further improve its navigation and operation. Overall great review, thanks! I'm pretty sure this is the one I'm gonna buy! I also like that it'll cut up to 4" because I want to "convert" my lawn to clover, instead of grass. It's much more environmentally favorable, and there are many reasons. (Short clover.)

The problem with this guy's review on these auto mowers are doing it totally wrong. The viewers are put off by his review because a auto / robo mower is not designed to cut a long untidy lawn. You need to grow your lawn and cut it with normal lawnmower then you let the robo mower keep it neat and tidy. His display here is actually disgusting because his not using it for what its designed for. No wonder in the comments below people are saying its crap, its because he's not using it correctly.

@@GrealdClaybrook I can understand why people commenting its junk because this guy doing the review is using it totally wrong. He is using it as a normal mower and thus you see untidy cut with cut grass all over. The robo mower is used after your grass is grown to how you want it ,then mowed with normal mower then only you let the robo mower keep it like that. Remember the robo mower just cuts off the tips of the grass blades thus you dont see grass laying around because its so fine and it falls in between the grass causing a fine compost.
