Incredible. The markup on these vans just for some carpentry work. I believe the tough looking Chevy vans from the 80s and 90s and even 2000s are going to go up and value. They’re going to outlast these new ones even longer.

You're welcome, we definitely strive to make these videos as honest and balanced as we can...we love vans and want to see them get better...and believe it or not, more affordable as well 😀

I do love the design on the inside and I would definitely prefer 170 and a step needs to be added for shorter people but the design is amazing.
@strangerpalooza3 ай бұрын
I would like to see that 170 as well...Innova says they do come with steps however on this tester the customer it was going to wanted specific aftermarket steps they didn't have time to install before they sent out for us to test
@kayroosa6093 ай бұрын
Oh okay I’m glad they do come with steps.

My girlfriend and I toured this at their factory in Vegas few months back. She's 5'11' and I'm 6'2".This van was TINY for the two of us. We couldn't pass one another. I couldn't stand up in the shower either. We took a hard pass. They did say that they're bringing this on a 170 chassis however. May be a bit more spacious.

For the weekend (especially because Lola is smaller than I am) we did better than we did in the Revel...For long term I would like to see a 170 as well, that will probably be a better seller here in the US

I like it. I like it. The model 695L is built on the longer MB Sprinter 170 chassis. . The Innova website could use a little polish. . Questions such as how to order, understanding configuration possibilities; Greater battery, MB OEM A/C unit, 4-season insulation, MB OEM acoustic/heat reduction glass, and 100 other ideas..... The Innova 695L (170 chassis) van begins with a fantastic interior design with top-shelf materials. .. Cheers, Vail, Colorado

Hopefully as time goes on they improve the website...that's always a weak point for manufacturers (even though yes its very important for the consumer to have easy access to that info)

This looks AWESOME! On those step rails… maybe. Perhaps a retractable step. I know from my 4x4 trips, you occasionally see trucks or whatever who have lost them on the trails. Not that you would ever take one of these on serious trails… but if you did, those steps could be a roadside ornament. All I know is that’s about $700+ to replace. I’d consider a folding stool before side steps.
@strangerpalooza3 ай бұрын
Folding would be a good Idea...I've seen those on Roadtrek's for example

It's a good looking layout. Things I'd change: that inverter heat, the AC drip, the tiny sink that transforms into a tiny table, add steps for sure, and add a foldup sink to the bathroom. I'm so glad they're in the US because they may influence how US RVs are built.

Hank just a quick suggestion. I also use a CPAP, now BiPAP ASV. I installed a small 250 watt inverter to run my CPAP without turning on the big inverter.
@strangerpalooza3 ай бұрын
Yeah I agree with you...for this van I would probably just do that or run a small jackery
@ranig28483 ай бұрын
There should not be a difference between 110 and 12v AC in terms of handling condensation. If it drips inside it’s either a bad design or a bad installation. Having said that, some 12v AC are not as powerful as 110v AC but newer ones are comparable and will improve over time. Running at 12v means it doesn’t need the inverter to convert from 12v to 110v meaning less heat from the inverter which can definitely impact cooling of the van
@strangerpalooza3 ай бұрын
I would agree in principal...I guess for me I have just not used a 12v AC that works long term in the Florida heat yet

Nice to see a new floorplan. Looks like it would make a great touring van. Will a folding e-bike fit in the garage?

Beautiful, but no flares for a 144? I think they are rather mandatory for that wheelbase.

Too expensive. I don't know why folks are throwing hundreds of thousands of dollar condos onto a vehicle which will depreciate fast.

Why complain
@strangerpalooza3 ай бұрын
I think most of the expense (outside of the cost of the Sprinter) is based on the Euro-style build on the inside...If you want that...it costs...I hope it gets more affordable though

@strangerpalooza That hot inverter is a big deal. Even if nothing goes wrong, all that heat is rising up to the bed which makes for hot sleeping.

We are driving Metris, 20 mile per galon, europa style since we are Czechs we have more room biger kitchen better windows... Marco Polo style, pop up roof and fit anywhere as a normal van, it's to enjoy and not to be a truck driver or a bus driver. $77,000 plus the finish probably an other $50,000 so you must be prity wealthy, why would you not sleep in a hotel and drive Porche to your destination, why bother with large van?
@strangerpalooza3 ай бұрын
That's a valid question Baron...the other day I met a gentleman who travels and sleeps in his Prius...to be honest over the years of doing videos on vans I've seen many examples of affordable ways folks can live and travel in their vehicles...however to answer your question I would say : to me my big van is more comfortable, easy to drive and convenient than a hotel and definitely a better investment in my quality of life than the super cars I've owned...In the end to each his own regardless of what it costs as long as you're living the life you want to live
