who would've thought it would come from someone with a name like yours. You lot are fucking pathetic ain't you. If you're european and don't know about hungaries history with being the huns then you're a moron.. and considering there was also 2 times when atilla's attack Asia it's hard to cypher what is what lmao. however its easy to call you lot barbaric lol you behead and destroy religious monuments then when you get taken back to your homeland you cvry and play victim about how it was a crusade. Hold the L. If the West was so bad why are you here?

Love this era of history. The Huns are responsible for a lot of the chaos by pushing the Visigoths and others west into the Roman Empire. Between the Goths killing emperor Valens and sacking Rome, the Vandals conquering Africa and Attilla invading and forcing Flavius Aetius to basically band everyone together against the Huns sort of like Hannibal did against Rome 600 years earlier, its no wonder the western Roman Empire fell fairly quickly after this era. Good stuff, dude. Keep up the good work.

As you mentioned, to the Romans, anyone who wasn't Roman was seen as a Barbarian. To have an Empire, there has to be some level of organisation and management. Probably because they were nomadic peoples, very little is known about Hunnic culture.

The Hun's are direct ancestors of modern Mongolians. The term 'Hu' translates to 'the person' in ancient Mongolian. They refer to themselves as the 'Tribes of the People' . (The Hunnu) The Huns believed in tribes beyond human, including spirits of the land and guardian spirits. Mongolia even have rock band named THE HU. inspired by ancient warriors. This video provides a fascinating look at the Hun's and Attila khan. I appreciate how Briefed presents complex histories in an engaging way!"

Of course, cultures are always quick to call others barbarians. But this is absolutely not specific to the West. Japan and China both viewed Europe as absolute primitives up to the point where they were conquered or with Japan forced to open the country. I dare say that the reason for this is that these cultures were far less sophisticated. The Germanic tribes conquered Rome ultimately and they were most certainly seen as barbarians. The Celts conquered Rome in its early stages as well. This proves that the notion is quite untrue. So, I hope this is not intended as too much focus on any East vs. West perspective.

Hey bro, I love your videos, but I can never tell what your video is about by your title, id be much more interested if you had Attila in the title than letting me guess what cruel man it could be.

haha fair point. I generally tend to have more general titles at first, to draw in more people, but then will change it to something more defining later

And of course, if you are the side that is being attacked, the opponents are barbarians, that is standard propaganda for you

That was interesting and humorous. I don't know if it's true or not. Around 455 bc. That pope Leo somehow stopped Attila the hun from invading Rome. Some historian say that, before the death of Attila. The Huns army were made up with more tribes from different backgrounds and nations. But still called The Huns. So they say. 👽👍

yeah I write about that in my comment - the pope Leo thing. I think it's just propaganda, I absolutely don't believe it. but it is in the video notes

When people say "later on called the Byzantine empire" really dont give enough credit to the Eastern Roman Empire which fell in 1354 and wasnt referred to ws Byzantine until 1557, what did they and everybody else call them? The Eastern roman empire? Yes until the west feel then they where simple referred to as The Roman Empire and their people as roman. Also Byzantine was mainly invented to make the holy roman empire seem like the rightful inheriter of the roman empire when in truth the Roman empire didn't fall until hundreds of years after the holy Roman had established itself. As an American we really have to understand that our world view is very much centered around the views and opinions of the holy roman empire, the British empire, and the American empire

Is it not risky to use these meme clips from different shows/movies/wwe because of copyright issues?

there's a free rights clause with education videos, so it's ok. also if the clips are less than a certain percentage of your video (as in just serving the education) it's no problem

With all your info, you should connect with Brilliance and do some kind of collab where people go there to take a quiz over your videos or maybe do a mythology course.
