Hey Congrats mum..in Jamaica we call those peas on your school compound Gungo peas or Pigeon peas. We use it to cook rice and peas or make delicious gungo peas soup. Its a very expensive commodity right now in the Christmas seasons as most of us cook it on Christmas. We however use it the green one. The dried ones are pre-soaked and used also but the farmers uaually plant them.

Hey Congrats mum..you need to try eating the roasted corn with a piece of dry coconut.. just cut a piece from the shell and eat it with the corn...it taste amazing. Watching from Jamaica. 🇯🇲 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
