A great review of the GP3, you have captured the car perfectly, your enthusiasm comes across really well. I like the idea that some companies are still brave enough to release a car like this 😎 Keep up the good work.

IDK - I'm just not convinced that you _really_ like it. I'm glad you reviewed it! But you didn't convince me that you really enjoyed it the way that you loved driving the Abarth and the 4C. From your review and others, it looks like despite being "precise" and having very "sharp" steering, that it just somehow falls short. 😬 Thanks for the review, though, and for sharing your impressions! Very good to _see_ and _hear_ what you thought as there additional points to be gleaned from seeing your expressions! 😉😊

I didn’t like the GP3 when I first seen it but after parting with my GP1 and GP2 I bit the bullet and bought the GP3 and can say it was a good decision 👍 Don’t be put off with the gearbox peoples it’s superb and very quick and has made me realise that the manual box is rubbish in comparison. The GP3 is an awesome machine and will demolish super cars costing twice as much ☝️
@micdav20003 жыл бұрын
I totally agree with you, and also for the gearbox with is totally appropriate for this powerful car..on track, it would be to difficult and less efficient to drive fast with a manual gearbox.

It’s a beefed up Cooper JCW lots of power you didn’t seem to suffer with traction. My sister’s 2005 Mini Cooper has suspension that make me think am I in a track car lol you feel everything, but these cars are so fun. Great review. I think Mini have improved so much over the years.

I have been lucky enough to have a GP3 for an entire day and thought it was an enjoyable. It certainly is a firm ride and keeps you on your toes but that’s why I loved it. Got a lot of looks when driving around town as it’s so different. Managed to drive a GP2 a couple of weeks after the GP3 which was great to compare the 2. Love the smile factor of the car as well and can tell you certainly enjoyed it as well

You were fortunate to drive it on the roads as Petrolped could only drive it around a very small track, he made assumptions that you found accurate, and that the GP3 is track oriented and not really a car for shopping in, so another good video under your belt and on to the next one, although the next lockdown might put a halt on some of your activities, hope not though Stef.

Good review.....I don't know if I'm the only one thinking that you don't need to spend this kind of money to have these sort of thrills when Minis are concerned but I'm a build it not buy it driver of them and for that reason alone there is no way I'd part with 37k...but,I see the appeal to those who would. Its still way cheaper than alot of new performance cars out there, and it's a Mini

Just checked through the comments.....and any negative words including mine you don't credit with a loved gif, mmmmm. Ok,some are a little ruff but remember that everything is not for everyone,especially a car with a big bucks equation for the working man/ woman viewers, and as a journalist you should respect that. I know a friend in my local club who traded up from a F56 210 and he's disappointed. Yeah it's quick but as with so many manufacturers I think it's just going to much on the horses with the front wheels and this power.....he said it torque steers like it's coming apart which is quite clear in your film. Reminds me of my old MG montego turbo from back in the late 80,s For the record though I enjoy your channel and this is just an opinion. Keep up the good broadcasting.

Love it. Did have one on order but once no manual was confirmed I was out 😱 Cracking car, I like the looks. I wonder why everyone thinks it’s quicker than M135i which is actually way quicker, must be the noise and sensation of speed. Looking forward to some M135i Bs this videos. Final thought and question, I’m wondering why Mini are putting any effort at all into publicity of the car, it’s already all gone so I’m not sure what we the public are to expect really.....although I always enjoy the content. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

If it tramlines then i dont want one. I had a 2018 BMW 120i M sport that did that it just took you where it wanted to go not where you wanted to go hence why i got rid after a couple of months i didnt trust it.
@stevecade8574 жыл бұрын
I 100% agree about tramlining and torque streering cars. I don't want a car that's either trying to put me in a hedge or oncoming traffic when driving on our typical British road surface, especially a quick one. The main reason is big wheels and low profile tyres that many people think they need. Great on the track and German roads but terrible here in the UK. We recently tested a JCW Clubman that was just as bad on 19" wheels and that's 4wd so torque steer shouldn't of been such and issue. The 18" wheels with slightly deeper tyre profile sorted it. I was amazed by the difference and the bonus was how much better the car rode when driving normally. Great fun the GP3 might be but unless you have access to a better daily then you're going to tire of the car's wild character pretty quickly.

Never seen you concentrate so much ! Funnily enough this is another car I also have on MY list so it was great that you could actually show what the car is like ! It's even more expensive here in OZ though add on an extra 10,000 pounds ! Still thinking the 128ti has the same engine but detuned perhaps with a tuning box it may deliver similar mumbo ? What do you think Stef ?
@StefABtv4 жыл бұрын
Haha yeah it’s an event to drive that thing for sure. I really like it. Not sure I would want to pay £10k more than the £37k it already is though mate

Worst looking of all the Mini GP they have built. Personally I’d take a GP1 or GP2 over this version. Hopefully as with the other GP models this signifies the coming to an end of the F56 model mini which to my eyes had always looked out of proportion, in fact I think the best looking of the current range are the more basic mini one and non S Cooper. The front bumper treatment is more reserved and less underbite looking.
@RobertKarlBerta4 жыл бұрын
I have always enjoyed MINIs...especially the vintage S versions, and the new ones are fine also, but that side cladding, weird rear wing, and the god awful contrast color snout ruins the whole car for me. If they can keep the drivetrain and suspension....but dump those other body parts I think it will be more saleable.

Good content as always 👍 Cant get over stuck on wheel arches, tough to keep in a straight line, and tram lines. Sounds like an awful car. You can see how much steering input is needed when at full throttle in a straight line.

I absolutely love mine. Not even 900 miles on it. I did disable the Active Sound Device (ASD) which makes for a much better ride. You can use Bimmercode or Carly for BMW to change a lot of features. #2974
