This video is fantastic! How do you handle the situation when the user closes the app before they verify their email? The user is created but email has not been verified. When they go back to the app's login page and try to login, FF will return an error that the email is verified. But, there is no way to catch that error and redirect them to the email verification page. Any suggestions on how to handle?

Thanks for the video! Been looking for this for awhile as well. Few questions! - The sign up would complete on the FF website, but the app would be stuck on email verification screen right? Is there a way to for email verification screen on the phone to automatically go to the next screen? - What happens if the user resets the app without verification? If they try to login, would their be an error?

Hey thanks for your questions! 1. In test mode, it would show the app still stuck on the verification screen. However, once you deploy the app it will be different. For webapps, it will direct you to the new home page of your website and for mobile apps, it will direct you to the home page in your mobile app. 2. If they reset the app without verifying, it should go back to the login page. If they try to login, it will show an error of them not being verified

@@arniifitness yup once you publish and once they click on the link in the email they'll be redirected back to the app home page (on mobile) or your webapp homepage (on the web)

You don’t have to activate web in FF, but you have to set up the site url which is the one at 11:14

using the published app instead of the test mode it does not work for me. In test mode flutterflow uses proxy.

Great video!! Any opinion regarding resend vs sendgrid? Both are also available in Buildship I see. Next up, 2FA ;) in case an email is compromised :) Not so easy I think.

One small glitch.. When you delete a user and want to add him/her again, the verification is not being sent as the user immediately gets the verified status but the user is presented with the verify screen even though he/she is already verified (because they existed in the past). Not really a real life situation but one that came up when testing as I just deleted my user to try again to register him. There may be a way to delete a user and past activity completely in SB. Will have to ask chatGPT ;)

My mistake. Apparently I did not 'save' my confirm email switch in the providers section of supabase.
