Love those giant mesh panels. I wish jackets would include a molle section or some kind of loop to mount my inReach.

I'm not a fan of 'internal' waterproof liners when it comes to a 3 or 4 season riding jacket. If I have to stop to put on the waterproof bit, just easier and more practical to put on an 'external' waterproof plastic jacket. Also, when it stops raining, I just remove the external waterproofing and my riding jacket is not water-logged.

Copy that 💯,, my Frogg Togg over jacket is so much easier than dicking around with the stupid rain liner. A great windbreaker as well.

I use an Alpinestars Tech Tour because it has external waterproofing with zip vents for summer riding. All the same features just waterproof pockets as well. Tech Air compatibility too. Relaxed fit and armor with extra armor pockets.

Yeah but the inner water proof liner also works as a wind break on them cold non raining days without looking ugly

@@bcgal0004 That's what my windproof shell is for. It also serves as a nice going out top when going out at night so you don't look like a rough-head that's just come off of the bike and walked into a restaurant.

It took me months to find one that fits like I need. The biggest problem is most are made in foreign countries that literally label pants with a 36 inch waist as XXXL. And dont even offer over 40. And if you like your pants to hang on nothing but your pecker then they have what you want. The crotch will be down to your knees too. I wear mine military correct. 2 fingers below the naval. Same is true with jackets. While already have a jacket with zipper slits for air on the chest. I am really digging the huge windows in this one in the video. I ride in Alabama where temps stay above 95 with 80 percent or more humidity is norm.

I'm 6'1 240 and my AlpineStars Tech Touring pants are a XXL and a pretty snug 40" on the hips with adjustable "fat straps" for seasonal weight distribution. KLIM has been making middle aged American Male sized gear in sizes that don't make you feel like a bloated whale.

No hard feelings but, that is one butt ugly jacket (my opinion). Not that I see many that I think look good. My criteria is visibility, protection, functionality and price. Looks is the last thing. Few years ago, I bought $400 Scorpion ADV jacket for $150 on Amazon. Watched its price going from $350 to $150 within two weeks. I thought it was maybe scam but, it is my go to jacket for long rides or unpredictable weather. Not most beautiful but, fantastic practical jacket. I hate layers though. Other than waterproof layer that I wear independently and as suplement to external one. Warm weather layer is just waste of time. Losing weight is probably better investment that looking for oversized clothes. 54yo, 5'10", 170lbs (215lbs at my biggest size).

Man! I love your videos but everybody emphasizes the jacket and never says anything about the pants. And for the record, I'm with ya on the liners. I'd rather have a waterproof jacket with plenty of venting and then layer underneath it. I wear the Knox Urban Pro armored shirt and layer over it. But pants is where I'm having trouble. I've got 3 different pants that do 3 different things and find myself always wearing the wrong ones for the conditions.

As a 6'1" rider with a 40" wasteline I too have found myself outgrowing Alpinestars European size jackets, especially in the front of the jacket. However, I find there Tech Touring Drystar pants great fitting and more comfortable than my Klim pants. If there's one thing i've learned it's that KLIM makes American sizes and I love my Badlands PRO jacket and its worth every bit of $1000+ to own one. I too would be a 3XL- 4XL in Alpinestars compared to an XL in KLIM. Both brands are great in my eyes, and put their money into the product at a level I hope I never have to use. However, only one brand makes me feel like a morbidly obese American pig when I shop for their riding gear.

This is AWESOME news! I too am in this category, and have been extremely frustrated with Euro sizing. I ride Sportbikes, but just try and find a full race suit in our size from Alpinestars, Icon or any of the other big manufacturers. They don't exist, not even in separate pants. So I guess they're just telling us "wear jeans and deal with it"?

Looks like a great fit. Will be considering one of these as soon as I get tired of the HWK entry gear I started with. And I would propose that there is 'fat' and there is 'Falstaffian'. Seems a shame to me our culture doesn't know the difference.
