To further prevent algae problem 1. Add floating plants like water cabbage to reduce sun exposure 2. Add shading material like green net over top 3. Add FRESHWATER CLAMS they will prevent microalgae bloom by filter feeding 4. Adding more underwater plants will help reduce algae If there is already algae bloom you can block the source of light for few days until the algae die off ,which we have observed in alligator tank . Then you can clean the died off algae by siphoning
