The ladder could have been easily fixed by gluing on a paint stirrer stick ( or similar wood piece) The manager would give you a discount on a damaged item.

The lip mask sell out at my locations immediately super hard to find. I happen to walk into Dollar tree one day at one of the locations and they had just put them out. I grabbed a few I haven’t seen them since in any dollar tree I visit.
