I value your biblical insight, David. But I have to question one thing, if Matthew Henry is to be a trustworthy source of biblical interpretation, I am curious as to why an Obelisk was erected above his grave after his death? If this means what I think it does, can his interpretation of scripture be considered credible?

I don’t think people understood back then what the obelisk symbolized. If someone “important” offered a monument for his gravesite, more than likely they would have felt honored to receive it. Just one way it could have gone.

It's speaking of the law concerning the sacrifices and the receiving of tithes by mortal and easily corruptible men. We don't need to be like Satan and teach men that they don't need to obey the living God and his eternal law. God's perfect law stands today. The sanctuary and All of it's law came to an end when Christ died.

I don't hate anybody but I do hate that abominationn of a religion. I was raised as a catholic myself. A nun once told me that the bible was made up to teach us right from wrong??? You have to wonder what made her become a nun then. What exactly do catholics base their faith on if they have no idea what the word of Yah says. I ask my mother and she hasn't a clue. I think she is a catholic simply because she feels it would dishonour her parents not to be.
