Bleaching and dyeing are two different things. Bleaching is stripping away the outer layer of the hair strand. That's why it's damaging. Dyeing is adding a layer of colour to the hair.

Everbody's hair type is different some people can straighten and bleach/dye their hair with no problems, but some within a few months hair will break and fall out, wont grow back the same or may take years to get healthy

That's so true the only problem is she doesn't know it but she most likely will experience damage to her hair from this. I'm a stylist. She bleached & straightened all in 1 day & said she further styled it at home. U have to really be knowledgeable on how to care for processed hair & most ppl are not. She has beautiful hair. A blonde wig would have been a much safer option

@@bettyjohnson6953 Yup! That was partially my comment. Aggressive After-care is required. I mean; it’s not going immediately go down the drain right after coloring. It is over time(more or less depending on the person), that the inevitable damage creeps up on you. By that time it’s too late. I have taken someone from black to blonde. However; I suggested that we make the change gradually over a six month period! By month six the color was exactly what she initially wanted. But she eventually got “lazy” as we sometimes do, and had to go from BSL to a Pixie?!🤷🏾‍♀️ It’s just not worth it to me….Not to mention, if you’re not born with blonde hair, I say leave it be! But that’s just me…

My hair tangles very easily and is very dry and brittle. So color wasn’t ever good for my hair despite loving color. I’ve tried almost every color but I’m afraid color is not out of my system 😢 but I’ll hold out for the health of my hair LOL. I only dye my hair black now, with no issues. Beautiful results!! LOVE it!

As a stylist myself, this can be very damaging BUT it doesn't have to. If a stylist isn't comfortable doing a service, be thankful they told you so, now you can go to a stylist that is confident that they can do it without damage.🙌

She was doing you a favor by being truthful. Blonde and red hair dye is very taxing to coarse hair. You have to always remember coarse hair is already very dry. Then you're doing a process that is going to make it more dry. Your stylist is taking a risk if they do it. Your hair might fall out. There's a lot of work you will have to do after you get it dyed too. You have to moisturize like crazy. And even then it still may fall out. I speak from experience.
