I just got done getting through the mentor experience and discovered your channel. Man I freaking hated the experience too! Its because they use us, the fact that we are new getting into the trucking industry they use us to do team driving. I feel like I could've learned all the shit we need to know in 1 week but instead they make us do 4 weeks and use us to team drive and I was just sick of it after about the first week lol

I’m going through that phase right now with my mentor and let me tell you that you are right, it’s hell 😂. Dude has a dog with him and his truck smells like wet dog and there’s dog hair everywhere. We even bumped heads a few times bc dude kept rushing me and putting a lot of pressure on me. I told him straight up, sometime you have to step your foot down and let them know, have a conversation with them about the things that bugs you, if they don’t stop get another mentor. Right now I’m dealing with a lot of BS with this guy, this my second mentor since the other mentor I had was a lazy old fart and wasn’t really teaching me shit. At least with this mentor he knows his stuff and he’s a good teacher, but he’s very arrogant and condescending at times. I’m pushing through it.
