I've never seen that many old Ford trucks in one spot. I'm in California and we never had that many even back 20 years ago. What a gold mine. What engine you got in that thing? Mine came with a 360FE, I built a 428 and put it in there. Tons of torque. I painted my inserts flat black, makes them stand out a bit more.

Nice truck, I have my father's 67.. I need to do a lot of work, but am not a mechanic. Amazing junkyards, here they are scraping most of them.
@stephensaasen85895 жыл бұрын
I'm wondering if that salvage guy you dealt with realizes you can get these parts new from LMC, Mac's or Dennis Carpenter? I just checked Dennis Carpenter and you can get them unpainted for $34.95 apiece or painted for $59.95 each. Shipping would be about $10 for under $100 and $15 or $20 for $100 on up. And Dennis Carpenter is usually higher priced. Most of this aftermarket stuff isn't too outlandishly priced. If you're looking for original Ford markings, they are manufactured from an original part or they actually obtained the original stamps, moulds and dies to make them, so the Ford markings will be on the parts. I really hope you didn't get taken.

Nice find! Why not just Epoxy the cracks on those inserts? You could fix them so they would barely be noticeable and keep them from getting worse. And the Bump side shorty would make a great project! Someone needs to save it.
