FINALLY Got OSMIUM | Planet Crafter Gameplay | Part 4

My highest game today is 2,0+ TTi. We have one main base over the starting valley lake above the T2 algae and farms. We use ten drones and four auto crafters. We don't do factories, single auto crafter doing one recipe nonstop. We do five to ten items, let the drones move them to their lockers, and then stop. Ore Extractors are factories (they don't stop supplying). I estimate five drones per OE and five to ten around the main base. We keep our T3 Tree Spreaders in the dune biome by the Highlands. We started with a 5x3 array of Pleom trees 🌳 (350%). We found one Olnus and four Orema. We are now making the Shreox tree (450%) and removing the Pleom to restore the golden flowers 💐. We will make a 5x5 (or 6) array of flowers. Trees and flowers interfere with harvesting meteor showers, so we don't keep them near the main base. We can get 31 to 36 uranium / iridium per rocket. We can get 4 to 15 Osmium / Pulsar Quartz per meteor. We don't bother super alloy Easter egg meteors. We would rather craft super alloy to eat up basic resources from our three lockers (6x3 = 18) each, down from five lockers (6x5 = 30). Our base is over the starting Valley Lake algae farm. Above that is an array of frames for three Aubergine 🍆, two mushrooms 🍄, one squash, and three beans 😋. Plus, a droid terminal. There is a single living compartment with a ladder up to the first floor. We have three stairs from the lake shore up to our first floor, which is 5x5. With single living compartments between four large living compartments. We are now trying two floors of storage. Each floor is a 2x2 large living compartments. Each compartment has one row of ten lockers on the outside wall and three rows of eight lockers. The eight make a hallway at the outside ends. This is to keep the lockers close to the centre four auto crafters on the first floor. Our first floor is for screens, crafting stations, recycling, and shredders (also four, considering ten or more). The fourth floor is for labs, domes, and aquariums.

They do not respawn. Looting them early is not a mistake per say, it certainly helps you a lot early in the game. They provide a boost of rare materials for your current tier. Up to you if you want to benefit from that boost early, or later. That's why they contain stuff relevant to your current terraforming tier, so that you can choose when you want the help when you need it most. In fact, the more advanced you are in the game the less necessary they become because you already have access to those ressources by that time.

I just want to add: loot them as early as possible, just for the boost you get. I looted them a bit too late, just to find stuff that was pretty useless (e.g. super alloy).

This is the right answer. You can easily find yourself doing the whole Final Fantasy "Don't Use Items, I May Need Them Later!" routine, only to find out that you've teched yourself up to the max and no longer need them. Use them as you find them, or do what I do... wait until you start needing rods. At some point, you'll need tons of iridium rods, uranium rods, super alloy rods, and other types of rods, and while you can certainly make them, it's very convenient when you find them already made. My preference is at the uranium rod level, since those nuclear reactors are excellent power that will take you for quite a while until you hit the next stage.

i have done several playthroughs and that is not true about the stuff getting better if you wait on looting the yellow chest now the yellow chest that is harder to get to has better loot

Chests For new people. 1) chest do not actually respond what happens is when they do a game update it refreshes the loot it's a rare bug. 2) the loot depends on your stage which is why certain areas that unlock aka the ice melts you find better loot because they are designed to be within that stage. 3) grab the loot as soon as possible it significantly helps boost your early progress because the later you wait the more that loot sucks I know because they recently introduced the waterfalls wreck and I practically walked out with nothing however I do show where to find or get all the fish. 4) if you want more tips, tricks, helpful hints just ask I'll try my best to help warning I'm not prefect and the information you get could potentially become out of date

Chest question answer: 3 types of chests in game, Golden have fixed loot, Ship chests have random leveled loot. And random chests found in the open that respawn with leveled loot. hope that helps Kage

Weird, I've never seen any of the blue regular chests (any any other type) respawn for me ever in any of the 4 games I went through.

MIners are Tier 1 - basic ores, Tier 2 - Advanced ores, and Tier 3 allows you to select the ore to be mined depending on what area they are placed in. For reference phonetically it is oz - me -umm.

You need to make the jetpack man, be able to get to the mines faster and just about the map faster in general

In the Aluminium field, set up a shelter with a locker or two and an Advanced Crafting table. Use the Aluminium and the 'rubbish' to make SuperAlloy. Any of the rubble not used goes into a locker for the next trip. The BioDome is a waste of space, resources and energy. Grass Spreaders produce nearly the same amount of O2, but also produce BioMass, which the Biodome doesn't. And the screen? The rgular unlock screen also has that info. There's a pair of icons on the left side of the screen where you can switch from regular to Bio unlocks and back again.

For rockets i like to construct a living compartment at the launch platform near the screen and encase it in windows. It makes it easier to spot where the meteors fall since it's high up. You can also build a ladder to get on the roof of the compartment if you don't see clearly. Also where meteors fall is based on your location.

Hey Kage, keep looking out for hidden caves as well, they have hidden loots. The caves are hidden behind walls just like icarus, and you can dismantle them. At 14:40 if you follow your cursor diagonally there's a cave in that mountain which would be submerged later on once lakes appear🥂

For crafting with regards to food, you will need mostly eggplants and mushrooms, and a little bit of squash. Beans you can eat without worry of needing it for crafting

Gold chest do not respawn. Blue chests can do even if you recycle them for the iron. Honestly you may as well open gold chests as you find them because after a while they will not give you anything you are not already getting or have a load of and the boost they can give speeds helps speed things up. Also if you want you can have more compact storage by turning cupboards on their sides with the label closest too you to edit, gives you apx 2.5 times storage for same footprint. And when you start mining put a waste disposer in a base section near the miner and later a crafter to make rods for easier transit. That will makes things less busy and see you through until the higher tier miners and drones which give you more control over your resources.

I've never seen a respawn. Go ahead and loot some crates but don't go crazy and loot everything in sight. Loot the ones you can get easy and save the rest for a bit later in the game. You'll have to progress to get to some of them anyway. Yeah, the longer you wait the better the loot, but you also have to weigh progression because you will need the stuff in those crates. As someone else said, the golden chests have set loot, so go ahead and loot them. Osmium = Oz-me-um

I run 2 T1 drills at my base for all my basic item needs. T2 for mid way through game for the caves, and T3 for end game Oh and put a Shredder at each Drill site. Its used to basically delete items from the game, so you don't have chests full of unwanted things like iron in late game.

I havent seen any gold chests respawn yet, yes you can get hit by meteors and is an achievement best done with an osmium meteor since its slow to land, T2 Ore Extractor can be used for the exotics materials but T3 will only mine said ore

Blue crystals works for me! I think you are going to really do backflips over how in depth the game gets with the unlocking stuff. But do keep in mind that the later stuff isn't quite as balanced out yet as the early unlocks, I watched one player get totally cockblocked by beehives. But there is just SO much to do by the time you get to that stage that you can work on other stuff and not even really worry about it. I am looking forward to you designing a nice looking base with the corner rooms and some decorations, yeah they are purely deco at the moment but it looks cool. And once plant life changes the planet's look you'll want some nice windows to have a nice view. Golden chests, as far as I can tell, do give you better loot as your level increases, but you want to go ahead and do a few, then wait a bit and do a few more, just get them every now and then, don't go and loot them all at the beginning. There are about 20-ish of them now, and you can't even get to a lot of them yet so no worries! Thanks for sharing the fun, really loving this series!

The easiest way to check on the number of machines you have is via the Energy Levels screen. But you only actually replaced your 5 T1 solar panels with 4 T2s. Your grass spreaders increased your oxygen production from 201.5 ppq/s to 525.5 ppq/s, so about 160%; it's less of a boost than you expected because your T3 vegetubes got high multipliers from their seeds. Biomass though!

Kage, unless they changed something since I played last, super alloy spawns on the ledges of the ravines behind where you live. There is a building you looted there and a golden chest you got last episode. From the building you can access the ledges and pick super alloy right off the ledge. Hope that helps

Gold chest loot is static, it’s the blue chest loot that changes based on tiers. It’s best to loot the gold chests as soon as possible because the seeds are the best in the game, and it will greatly speed up your game.

Hi @Kage848 and friends 👋 pK has nothing to do with puking by any stretch (lol 😅), it stands for pico-Kelvin, which is 10 to the power of -12 (the millionth part of the millionth part) of a Kelvin. And very irrealistic, as out of any measurable range, and way under the liquifying temperature of Helium and Hydrogen. Any equipment you may have would freeze-lock at such temp, not even accounting for thermal shocks when going inside a heated area, such as your base and pit-stop modules ! Have fun and gl all 🖖

Kage, the randomness in the chests is if you get iron vs osmium, the 600 quality plants are on the 1st day or the 1000th day, so you will get TONS more done with the 600 plant than if you wait forever to get an extra super alloy in a box.....by that time you've got an extractor in the supper alloy mine with a drone bringing it all back to you anyway. Too much grief for this, just pick up the crates as you find them.

if you go to the sand waterfall in the sulfur feild there is tons of super alloy laying around on ground you miss if you dont look good cause the dust ffrom the sand water fall all in that area hides it well there is several yellow chest in that area to one behind rock in cave and another there is a crack between rocks that you wouldnt think you fit thru but can and further back yellow chest in

For right now to get super alloy go into the labyrinth and walk the upper ledges it sits up there and as far as I know it is not mineable in that area later, there is an area but you can find that on your own, Also need tier 2 autominers for super alloy, osmium and something else

Grass spreader only spreads grass and don't take seeds. Flower spreaders take seeds and spread whatever flower seed you put in them.

why not go get you all the uridium you want laying around in the cave where the alien hidden door is to the hideden city for the story it is super clsoe to your base you can also go and deconsturct the heater ers in the ship on top of hill above the drop ship and get urainum rods and urainum in there to and the heaters respawn if they havent fix them from respawning

Yes you can 100% get hit my the asteroids and it does hurt like hell, the more direct the hit the more damage you take, I've never died from one but one brought me to like 10% health plenty of times

the gold chest dont respawn and the loot dont get better what they mean is as you get futher along in the game and get to the golden chest tthat is harder to get and about impossible to get with out upgrades to your equipment . But i can also confirm that the stuff in the blue chest respawn and do get better and if they havent fix it the ship on top hill where you got the yellow chest off the top if you go in there and loot the chest go out unload go back in they will have respawn loot if you didnt take the chest apart
