I. cannot. with that bright-a$$ building at unloading. They already had two - TWO - beautifully-themed and beautifully-designed Port Orleans resorts to help them with the look and feel of southeastern Louisiana from N.O. to Avery Island, from the River Road to the North Shore (did they really need those dang research trips) and they STILL came up with “Craft Store Concoction” for this attraction. Unbelievable.

To me it looks nice, but as others as pointed out "Nice" isn't good enough for something like Disney. After getting rid of Splash Mountain that was monumental, Disney should've gone above and beyond but like everything that is is current day Disney they went mediocre like everything else under Bob Iger. People have pointed out the Parks are what bring in the money but I don't think that's going to last at this rate. It's kinda ironic that on that Tianna's Foods van it says "Never, ever lose sight of what's really important" because Disney long since has.

I really love the queue. Reminds me so much of some nostalgic places I love here in Georgia. The Jazz they're playing there makes it even better. Shame about the pacing and story of the ride though. I hope they go back and fix some of the pacing issues

Originally, you get shrunk to look for the special spice underground among the smaller critters. But now you’re shrunk to look for musicians among the smaller critters. 😑

I think you get shrunk because, you just ate a magic mushroom. Notice how many mushrooms show up in that underground area. In fact the very first thing you see is a giant mushroom as you go down the first fall. Mushrooms.

It looks like a bigger kid version of Alice in Wonderland 🤦‍♀️ They took an icon and changed to a "no way am I waiting in that line" ride. It also looks like they sped up the logs. There was always so much to see, now it's so minimal that they don't want you to have the time to notice imo.

Thanks for the video. The last time I rode splash mountain was at Disneyland in the mid 90's. I can't remember much about it other than it was the longest line of the day. I went with friends that were annual pass holders.

I love your content La Reina! New subscriber here and you are great! As far as this ride goes, I think it looks good, colorful and some really catchy music. The queue looks awesome! But in my honest opinion the ride doesn't build up anything and is kind of boring. Kind of like the Na'vi River Journey for me, this one seems like something I would ride once, then not really care anymore to ride it again. Really cool animatronics does not make a ride good. I really think that Disney should have given Tiana her own ride, or stuck to their original concepts of of what the ride should be. The original concepts really did look awesome, so I feel that Disney kind of really let their fans down. Keep up the great work La Reina! Loving your content so far!

*** I forgot to mention the ride. It looks okay, but I don’t think Tiana would be wearing pants in 1940 and changing a beloved ride because of skewed politics instead of building something entirely new based on the movie is just ridiculous. I guess there is some actual swamp land they could use if feasible to make it authentic. I thought the ending celebration with Tiana singing probably the best part a far as story, but for a water ride you do need to get soaking wet on a hot day. 🤷🏻‍♂️ The bad boy that snuck the beignet’s was that a snake, I couldn’t tell ❓

This could have been done better as a regular boat ride like Pirates or NRJ in the Beyond Big Thunder expansion. They could have made a whole New Orleans section with that ride as the centerpiece. Another opportunity missed in the name of politics. 😡😡😡😡😡

Your POV was superb for sound, getting to hear the music clearly Especially now I really got to hear Dig a Little Deeper loud and clear in your video. Earlier I have commented that they didn't sing Blue Skies and Sunshine because I couldn't hear it at all, now I have. Overall this whether you never ride it is not a miss out, previous Splash Mountain would intrigued you to somehow go!

Thanks for the POV La Reina ❤ I am part French Cajun on my mom’s side & GP was a cook, but will never like okra in gumbo and only came to like shrimp as an adult I’ve only been to WDW one time when 10 or 11 being I grew up on other side of the country and visited other set of grandparents snowbirding down there. It is a shame they changed S[lash Mountain and plans to change all of Frontierland into something else entirely I hear. I have a question and remember this as a kid. Is Pecos Bill’s the place where they had a stage show with dancing saloon girls dancing can can style while you ate ❓

They got rid of Splash Mountain because it was offensive and them replace it with sign saying the salt mines, Geez these people talk out of both sides of their gob. This looks a children's ride and why is Oprah in the ride. Its going to be called Oprah's Mountain.

'A nice little ride.' That's damning with feint praise isn't it? You expect an E attraction and instead get a C. I do like the final scene but it should be larger and more spectacular but we know the budget goes into Iger's and d'Amaro's portfolios. And the non Tiana, Aunt and alligator's animatronics are so pathetic it's embarrassing. They were doing that stuff in store window displays in the mid 20th Century. It's amazing these execs are without shame. They should be in the government like Iger wanted to be and eminently suited for. He's got the ego for it and without any noticeable qualifications. He would be perfect as a president of the US.

The story makes no sense to me at least bear rabbit. I knew the story before I got there, but Tiana I’ve never seen the movie. I don’t know anything about it and it doesn’t seem like a comprehensive storyline to me in the ride and the ride does not have all the awesome animatronics that Mountain had Disney should’ve made this ride a lot better if it was going to replace splash mountain definitely will not wait long lines for this one

When maybe sick is when they showed the very first people writing the attraction they had two Black people and they had two white people and to me that was somewhat racist and I’ll tell you why. It reminded me of the period where they were white audiences going to shows, like Billie Holiday, Lena Horne, Sam Davis Junior, etc. These legendary performers were able to sing for this audience of whites, and they were all smiling and happy and clapping, however, these performers had to go through the kitchen, could not eat there, but yet the white people came to see them perform. by doing this, it was racism. Now, you have the black person that wrote the music and the relative that Tiana was based on going on the rides and these two white people and the women in the front is clapping and smiling, and trying to sing the song, until the end of the ride that reminded me of these past discriminations that occurred. Disney had two Black people to be represented of this ride, yet I wonder if they’re gonna hire them again to do other thing just like the number of black imagers have and how many blacks worked on the lion King. I bet there’s very very very few people of color that works for them. However, there PR probably sit there at that. Oh we should use these two and then beginning so everybody could see that we are not Black people. And honestly, how many Black people actually go through the turnstiles of a Disneyland Disney World or any other Disney parks.

I think the soundtrack is just "okay". The animatronics that are in there are good ones, but none of the stir up much excitement. I'm confused as to why we are in a mountain. Bayous don't have mountains. Where are the bulk of characters from the movie story line? Why are we shrunk? I'd give this attraction a C- for story. For overall exterior look I give it a C as the exterior looks pretty bland. The interior I give a B. Excitement factor I give a C-, as nothing is really exciting or that interesting inside the Bayou Mountain. They really should have kept Splash Mountain. And they really should release ""Song of the South" as it is the first movie to ever honor a black man with an honorary Academy Award. A major achievement that is thrown on the rubbish heap because some want to cry racism when the biggest culture shock of this film was the parents separation and possible divorce. I believe the retheming of the most popular attraction you have in a park just shows the total lack of good business sense. Why change something that didn't need changing, especially when you take a Grade A attraction and turn it into a C+ attraction.
