@@LowEndUniversity The period when this came out was maybe, imho, the best period for all those melodic punk bands - this, About Time by Pennywise, White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean by NoFX. Don't Turn Away by Face to Face...so much stuff.

I definitely miss this album. Was one of the most influential albums of my adolescence when I first got into punk. I bought Trashed, How to Clean Everything, and For God and Country at the same time in the same day. It was good!

Lagwagon is one of the tightest bands on Fat Wreck Chords. They were also the 1st band Fat Mike signed to his label and they're still with him. The whole label is full of bands similar. You can't go wrong

For technical punk, "Elephant March" by Belvadere and "Bates Motel" by Mute are both masterpiece songs in my opinion. Bates Motel actually has a part where theres a slap line synched with guitar tapping... off the top of my head thats something I've only heard Primus do.

Love that you're bringing light to talent of punk bassists. I wish their was someone doing this same thing for the drummers (Derrick Plourde, Travis Barker, Tony Palermo, Jordan Burns, Josh Freese, Brooks Wackerman, etc). The amount of talent from the 90s skate punk scene is vast and under appreciated. So interesting how this style augmented from the 80s into the 90s. The late 80s & early to mid 90s punk imho is the best punk had to offer. Descendents, RKL and Bad Religion gave such a perfect foundation and inspiration for the 90s skate punk bands.

Lagwagon is one of my top ten favorite bands. Great, great, great video. I could feel what you felt listening to this song. Back in the time, just could not believe that how good this song (and album) is. As a mediocre bass player, this song helps me improve my poor skills (never had a lesson). Jesse on bass and Derick on drums are the perfect match. So many songs that are a perfect balance between them. I would suggest Know it All, from this same album. Just listen to it, you will not regret. Thank you. You make my day better.

A band that to me has a similar vibe is Satanic Surfers, especially the first two albums. I would recommend any song of those but especially Before it's to Late or Puppet from the album Hero of our Time. What I also love about these albums is that the drummer was also the singer, and while it's not super complex it is quite impressive to pull it of live in my opinion.
