Finally installing coilovers! MK6 Fiesta ST

I FINALLY get around to lowering the Fiesta ST. Starla has been dying to be lowered for a very long time. I had eibach springs on the car for the first few months and they sat nicely, but they snapped so i had to change to cheaper lowering springs and they did not sit low at all!
So i eventually ordered some JOM coilovers!

You did clamp the vice grips abit low on the shocker mate next time get it clamped as close to the top mount as possible because the shocker ain't really going to dampen the force that much, doing it where u did u risk the fluid leaking when the shocker dampens force, good effort n well done mate

i clamped it over the rubber boot, and that was the highest i could get as there were two bump stops on the strut. I didnt clamp that hard either it didnt even make a mark on the rubber, i was very conscious of what youve mentioned dont worry haha! But thanks for the advice im sure it will help people reading the comments also

If you used standard bump stops cut it down a bit. you might find that on the lowest setting the cars actually resting on the bump stop

i went from a set of 16" cozzy wheels to standard st's @ 17" just before i sold my car and left the coiloves set how they were, the st's didnt touch the arches and the rim was practically level with the arch line lol. you'll be alright trust me there's quite a big gap.

a shock is a shock, if theyre working theyres no dying need to change them. There are lots of people who run the standard rear shocks

when I fitted my FK coilovers my rear end was on top of the tyres Not even an inch gap, And that was before I even took off the ramp, luckily the ramp was built into the floor otherwise I wouldn’t have got off it lol Anyway just adding on the FK’s the adjusters come with a bolt and washer to bolt to them to the bottom of the spring seat, just thought I’d share that Incase anyone wanted FK’s I’ll be taking the adjuster off soon so the arch will be on the rim :-) “ slam that shit “ 👍

Springs are a better choice if you dont feel like spending a lot of money. You can buy lowering springs and sell the old ones if they are still good to get some money back and then once you sell your car its easier to just leave the lowering springs on the car than coilovers.

Yukselroc there are a few problems, I'll do a video review on them soon! But for the price they're good overall, don't go as low as you would think, ride is a bit knocky and loud, but stiff but nothing too unbearable
