Looks so good! The huge grin on both of your faces when you sat in it with the engine in… that’s why we all love this hobby. So excited to hear it fire up and see it move for the first time. Well done!

I really enjoyed this video, filled with real engineering solutions to the problems that crop up in a build like this, it is good to see that real engineering still exists out there, most builds of today are based on CNC programmes doing all the work that engineers used to do in their brain! I will continue to follow this first rate build, and no doubt spend many hours watching back issues! Chris B.

A lot of thought process has gone into this from ground up speedster build. Awesome job brother, some of the neatest engineering I've seen in a long time. Keep up with this great build, these are exciting times

I just love that you are using a Jag engine in this. Such an underappreciated piece and will align perfectly to the aesthetic you are going for. Can't wait for first drive.

I'm happy you chose this route. I know from experience it's fairly simple to tie a Dana, or 9 inch into the back of a Chevy. C6, or Torqueflite, not so much. The KISS rule applies

I learned today that Jag put the pilot bearing in the flywheel and not the crank shaft. I think I like that better. Keep up the good work.
@MacroMachines2 жыл бұрын
Jag actually had a bronze pilot bushing in the crankshaft. That of course doesn't fit the transmission I'm using, so I converted it to the early Ford-style bearing in the flywheel

Awesome content. I’m loving that this car will be a runner and more or less a complete project. I’ve been watching from day One. I’m a fan of you and the project. Also, a huge shout out to your Dad, he has had a few cameo appearances during this process, but watching him help you get This buttoned up before you head out, shows what a neat man he is. I assume that he has Passed on some of his skills to you. Great Dad. 👍

First off all if you would like to do static balancing you should remove greace from bearing, cause it generates friction. If you would do so you could get much better results in static balancing

@lomsomesGarage2 жыл бұрын
Is that engine a internally balanced or externally balance engine I’m not use to working on those is why I’m asking if external that would explain the weight difference on fry flywheel man I’ve enjoyed watching you grow into a young man been watching from the beginning congratulations on your all your accomplishments in life

Since you are using a Jag engine please only use genuine Lukas electrical components. They saved England from Covid. They gave it one of their parts numbers and now it's unavailable. Also they have the Prince Of Darkness on long term back order. Thank you for your cooperation. And please don't be negative thinking about your grounds.

Having followed this (and your other) build(s) since day 1, this is seriously exciting. Beautiful job, and once you polish those cam covers and aluminum intake, the engine will look amazing. The Jaguar 6 is virtually indestructible and and sounds fantastic too. What a winner you have built here. You are allowed to be super proud of your creation!!!
