Nice progress! Now do it for toesides lol Find a parking garage with some right turns and you'll learn the proper form for the set up pretty quick

Thanks and uh-that could be another epic fail-never been in parking garage. 😆 I do want to practice toe sides-but a little clueless and don’t know how not to pull too hard on rail.

@@cantskate5535 Lol ask the local skaters where a chill garage is, but skate within your limits. Probably the best way to start learning is to get the toeside form down at home on your floor (on or off your board) then bring it to the hill and make a tight carve in a U turn back up the slope going slow, even 5mph. Start in a tuck (foot more forward, knee resting on the calf) then move your back knee out just slightly in the toeside direction so that it is no longer resting on your calf. Then you need to lean as a unit to your toe side while maintaining that current weight over your front foot. Make sure to keep your hips HIGH and not let your back knee bend much more than when you started from your tuck, if you lift your chest vertically/shift hips down, you will shift weight to your back foot and you wont be able to turn well. Keep your front heel planted to maintain downward pressure. If you dont, you will likely be shifting your weight more laterally/onto your glove, resulting in less pressure to the truck to turn. Grabbing rail is more about gently holding to help you lock in and maintain your balance in this form. I could make a short video next time I get a chance :)

Thank you. Truthfully - the written explanation is a lot more helpful. Seen many videos, and oddly still hard for me to visualize. Definitely will practice at home. 🤘🙏

Next upgrade, you gotta try the new Scythe torque block! Diagonal edge for heelsides and perpendicular edge for toesides. ❤

Your back knee is always hanging way out and near the ground in every video despite which direction your turning... This is a big problem to your form. And you need to learn how to only get in squat position into a slide or a corner.

Thanks and agree on the knee hanging out. Trying to understand facing front, shin forward, front foot pressure while keeping centerline balance and maneuver/steer with back foot placement to support movement direction. Still awkward of back foot placement consistency. I do practice stand ups around corner, but maybe haven’t posted enough. This session was just getting use to my planned permanent board set up-for while-with exception of wheel changes.
