I just wanted to say, Ludwig is one of my favorite boss fights yet. I mean, his OST is heavenly. (Also, as some of you have pointed out, I failed to make the connection between Ludwig the Accursed and Ludwig's holy blade...I wish I could say this is the last time I will be dumb on camera, but you and I both know that would be a lie)

Fun fact, this probably isn't the last time you'll being seeing the Moonlight Greatsword, as some variation of it appears in (almost) every Fromsoft game, going as far back as the King's Field series, the first game of which released in 1994. The name tends to change between each series, but it always has something to do with the moon. And for a quick lore drop about Ludwig, he was the first hunter of the Healing Church, and his sword is what the greatsword you were originally using was modeled after. Like most hunters drawn into the nightmare, he was at some point consumed by bloodlust and transformed into the beast you fight. And as they say, it were the clerics who became the most hideous beasts.

Nice vid...2 quick points: When you return to the main game, go back to where you fought Logarius, stand where his chair (throne was) at Cainhurst Castle and wear the crown you get from defeating him. It unlocks a secret. Point 2; a bit of lore - the Moonlight Greatsword you got from defeating Ludwig appears in all of the FromSoft souls games except Sekiro...fascinating, and a pretty good weapon.

Last video you asked about what's transforming the enemies into beasts and whether it's also the blood that's creating the other weird things, like Rom. - Here's an answer The game doesn't really give a great explanation, but there are hints. A lot of what I'm going to say here is just my hypothesis, but I have done pretty heavy investigation of the game. I do disagree on some points with some of the popular lore theories though. It appears that Humans that receive power from the Great Ones, or are otherwise affected by their powers, eventually begin to transform. The scourge of beasts appears to actually just be another example of this, with the healing blood originally coming from a Great One. The exact one isn't completely clear, but there are a few possibilities. Ebrietas is another Great One, and the people affected by her powers transform into the blobby blue guys, the brainsuckers, and a few of the other creepy cosmic horror enemies. Micolash mentions Kos having transformed Rom from a human into the spider, although there is substantial evidence that this is actually meant to be Ebrietas. From pre-release versions of the game, it appears Ebrietas' name originally was Kos, and they only changed it late in development. It seems likely that Micolash's lines just didn't get re-written/re-recorded after the name change, and they then worked the name Kos back into the game later. The enemies in Cainhurst are affected by vileblood, which seems to be very similar to the old blood the church uses, but with somewhat different effects and for some reason it's hated by the church. If Vileblood was originally also the blood of a Great One, it's unclear which Great One it is, or if the Great One is even mentioned in game. In accordance with this line of thinking, some of the stranger enemies may be the result of mixed influence from multiple Great Ones. Ludwig is the best candidate for this, as he has obvious characteristics of the beast scourge, which he definitely would have been exposed to, but he also displays unique traits. There is also suggestion from item and rune descriptions that his sword is tied to another great one/great ones, or may itself be a great one. The mix of those influences could have resulted in Ludwig's horrendously twisted form. So long story short, most enemies you face were previously human. The major categories of different traits are likely the result of different Great Ones powers having transformed the person, not necessarily the Old Blood of the church. Some enemies might show weird traits from mixed Great One influence.

Just so you know there’s a lamp right at the top of that elevator. Also there’s a shortcut that leads to where you spawn first in the dlc it’s in the first house next to the blood river. There’s also an npc in that shortcut you can talk to that follows you throughout the dlc to chat. He’s where you killed Ludwig next

All Dark Souls DLCs are pretty challenging ngl, but if I had to choose which one is hardest? I'd probably say DS2 bc some of those DLC areas are notoriously brutal. DS2 vets will get chills at the mere mention of "Horsef*ck Valley" or "Blue Smelter Runback." lmao. In all seriousness, I'd say that DS3 really set the bar with the "Ringed City" DLC (post-BB / pre-Elden Ring). The Ringed City is still my favorite FromSoft DLC ever made. It's so freakin good

You’ll get a plethora of answers to the first “difficult” fromsoft DLC. My vote is Dark Souls 1’s DLC: Artorias of the Abyss. It was the first time I really cared about hearing about individuals in a game’s lore and then going back and finding out what ACTUALLY happened to said characters. Plus the bosses were pretty cool for their time

Play dark souls one next and experience that dlc. Ds1 is the easiest of the fromsoft games in my opinion, but the dlc is the best part in my opinion as well. I think all the dlcs are harder than the main games. Just like the hardest bosses in all the games are the optional bosses like logarius and melania. Ds2 has some fun and difficult dlcs that I like too. The ds3 dlc has my favorite bosses in the series.
