I really enjoyed this video. While I watched it, I smoked a bowl of Northwoods in a Savinelli rusticated 320 - KS Elganza. I really enjoyed your description. I’ve only been smoking a pipe for a little over a year, so it’s really nice to smoke the same thing and listen to your description to see if I can Taste the same flavor-notes. My pallet is still completely undeveloped, so it’s hard for me to pick out much. I also enjoy Boswell‘s Countryside and railroad station. Thanks again, Simon. have a blessed week. John.

I've been following YTPC for 9-10 years now and the people you mentioned weren't the originals. It was guys like PipefriendCHS, Pipelawyer, Oldpipepops, Pipefreaks, Dubinthedam and Acaciavet that paved the way for future YTPCers. For several years PipefriendCHS was like the rock star of the YTPC with over a million views or subscribers...but he decided to stop and took off many of his videos off of KZbin, unfortunately. But it's been interesting to see how the community has evolved and continues to evolve. :)

Great video, I was able to follow right along with your thoughts on Northwoods. I was exactly in the same position as far as feeling like I was butting in on people's crew they have going. I still feel that way to some degree. Like you said though, as soon as I got over my issues the great majority have been very accepting. The very few who haven't been, well I guess I move on and wish them the best. People have phrased it different ways, but you also nailed that the generosity starts with people's time. Time is quite valuable and I appreciate everyone's time they give me very much!

I have to add that i mixed a 50/50 Northwoods/Mild English for a good smoke which gave best of both worlds.

Hi Simon. If you like tobaccos like this you simply must try (assuming you haven't already) L.J.Peretti's Midnight. It's a mixture of black cavendish, latakia, perique and Virginia. Very mildly smoky with a nice sweetness. I also strongly recommend Frog Morton on the Bayou which is a bit fuller but still not overpowering on the smokiness. Cheers.

Don't forget to try Boswell's other English style tobacco's: Countryside (everyday blend): Mild English too, Magnum; my favorite's Railroad Station and Titus (superb), and Magnum.
