I’ve LOVED big tractors and I’m a missionary living about a hour south of Dublin Irelandand I. I just subscribed yesterday but you guys giving away sacks of spuds brought tears to my eyes! When you’re 76 years old, I cry at supermarket grand openings!

I’m glad you’re enjoying the channel. I like doing giveaways. Thanks for watching.

Every time I eat a french fry or potato chip, I think of you guys and how much we depend on you. Be safe, think twice. Three of my friends and an Uncle were killed in farming accidents not to mention other limb removing incidents.

Well I’m glad you think of us when you eat potatoes. There is a reason that farming is one of the deadliest jobs in the world because when you’re working with heavy machinery, all the time something is bound to happen, we do try to be very careful. Thanks for watching.

This is getting good now, I've been looking forward to seeing your planting operation. I'm ready for the more in depth videos. I subscribed last year when I saw one of your harvest videos. I had to know more. Hooray for grandpa! Bringing the doughnuts 🍩

I've hauled many loads of potatoes to market from your area of Idaho. It's neat to see how it's done from start to finish. Stay safe, and I really enjoy your content.

I’m glad you enjoyed it. We don’t plant at night. We could but there isn’t enough people to run 2 shifts

First day bugs to work out are aggravating. When do y’all typically harvest?
@RockyMountainFarmer7 ай бұрын
We usually harvest around the end of September
@jackweeks80997 ай бұрын
@@RockyMountainFarmer when you get done picking up taters, you can come on down to South Georgia and watch peanuts and cotton being harvested! Might even find a field of fall sweet corn while you’re at too.

@@jackweeks8099 That would be cool. I might have to take you up on that.

Are you dropping fertilizer as you plant? And whats the ideal NPK for potatoes?
@RockyMountainFarmer7 ай бұрын
We do put down liquid fertilizer but I’m not sure the ideal npk our agronomists figure that out and tell us what to put down.

How fast do you travel while planting?

It would be really interesting if parts of this video was included in the Farmer Wants A Wife tv show. Will Grace some day be operating a potato planter when She and Brandon plant their potato crop?

I have only vaguely even heard of that show I don’t watch much TV just KZbin.

It interesting you guys don’t use a seed potato bucket attachment on the loader. Keep posting the videos 👍🏻

We have been trying to find another way to load our planters

So what happens to the rows in which you recalibrate and adjust? Do you go back over them or thats what it is. I cant tell the size of operation so if those test rows are 1 or 2 of 200 i can see you just leaving as is?. I ask because u mention gps calibration necessary for harvest accuracy
@RockyMountainFarmer7 ай бұрын
We don’t go back and replant. Those rows will still grow, just at a different spacing. We are planting 1200 acres and we were able to get them all calibrated on the first 10 acres so only a few acres will be different. We have to make sure the gps is accurate for cultivation and harvest.

Wieviel ha Kartoffeln habt Ihr ? Sehr schönes Video 🚜🚜👍 Grüsse aus Thailand 😎

I think it would be 485. We go by acres and we have 1200 acres of potatoes

How hard is it to get in the 8r with those tanks?
@RockyMountainFarmer7 ай бұрын
It is pretty easy to get into all of them
@ryanevans70497 ай бұрын
It’s also weird to me that you guys don’t have your rows premade
@RockyMountainFarmer7 ай бұрын
Once we got GPS in our tractors, there was no need to pay somebody to pre-make our rows just a big cost savings
