By the way, the in-between round commentary is a great touch. It makes it much more engaging. I'll put some of my thoughts in this comment, just trying to be helpful but take it was a grain of salt. I think you may want to split the video into parts, at least groups and finals? Or even just one or two games at a time? I'm not an expert on KZbin and I actually prefer videos like this, but I know that it would help keep video retention and get you more 'clicks' if you're trying to grow the channel. Your Videos are definitely super educational for high end gameplay. If you could maybe show some examples for what you say at 39:25. I'm sure a lot of people who watch this are trying to learn. Or maybe make separate videos that are like scrims, where you show examples of things you did well or things not to do. I feel like a lot of people who watch you do it too learn. (could be completely wrong just guessing) As for the Shot Calling stuff, I think it will come in practice, but as a team you need to have a definitive voice. Everyone will see different things and different angles, but a lot of times it's more important everyone follows a call then you get the perfect call. It felt like a lot of times someone say go in and someone would say run and people would be a bit split. I'd recommend finding a way to say more with less in big fights, like instead of saying "Another team is to the right" you could say "Orange Right" or whatever, maybe learn to focus on the teams colors more so that if you're fighting green and you hear Orange right you know it's a third party. Like I said take all of this with a grain of salt if you even bothered to read it haha

Yea I'm not sure how much retention and video length and what-not is best for what I am trying to do. Honestly my videos going over tournaments with the highlights like these, and my guides generally get the most views from what I can tell. Honestly I am in the same boat as you, that I would love watching videos like these with the good bits from tournaments, some commentary even if it is an hour long. Not everyone is like that though, but I think that from what I have seen from other games like APEX youtube, there is a lot of interest in videos like that in the BR space around tournaments. It's definitely something I could mess with in the future by cutting it into multiple parts. Some of the reason I don't go too into depth with my thought process about what the end result is that I do try to keep somewhat of a competitive edge on the other teams. I feel like breaking down exactly what I learned and every detail might actually put me at a competitive disadvantage. But you're right the examples I do bring up I could try to show them in more detail and be less lazy with the editing. (I tried to do that in most of the clips, showing the general play I was talking about like Game 1 of the finals fight near Kobayashi, or Game 2 Phenom getting caught, etc) And agreed with the team comms, I think things could be shorter, but it's also very hard to practice. The game is new, even if we seem like we know what we are doing, generally I am still heavily focused on my micro and macro so much that communication gets left to the wayside. I think that generally being more brief with words doesn't necessarily mean better. In your example though, being specific and concise with team callouts is good and something we should actively try to improve on. I generally think having everyone on the team to have the ability to shotcall at some moments in the game is the best form of communication because I do not think one person can do it all. But also having everyone be able to shotcall is the hardest to master because in the heat of the moment you need to be able to listen to one call and not be split. I appreciate the feedback hazed, I think it will make the next one even better. o7

@@ryanlemur You just got to carve out your own spot in the scene and I'm sure people will support you no matter what you do! As for the competitive edge, I didn't even think about that, you're definitely right. A lot of your competitors will be watching and learning from you since you guys are the best :). For the communication I completely agree you can't have one voice, I just mean that there should be one definitive voice to listen too when things get too chaotic. Thanks for taking the time to read and reply to my block of text haha, I look forward to the next one!

Dude, I'm a super casual player with some old high level competitive gameplay in the past. I love to play Celeste but I lack gameplay to watch her. I watch every single video on youtube and twitch that you play her. Thanks.

I will never not get hyped watching TLD. You guys seem like controlled chaos with calls and I don't know how you absorb so much info all at once.

Is there a reason we can't see chat overlay? Is it because it's a tourney or just how you upload videos to youtube?

Wait.. Hmm.. I have no clue why it could be gone. It should be there. I see the chat at 27:22 after scrubbing through the video a little bit. Usually there isn't a lot of chat during tourney mid-game and a lot between the games which i usually cut out on these highlight videos. Maybe I could leave the chat messages on the screen a bit longer. And hi Hazed! :]

@@ryanlemur Hmm, interesting. I just remember chatting a bit during the first game of the tourney but I might be remembering wrong. I mean chats never THAT dead at least when I'm around haha. Either way it's not a big deal.
