Sometimes I find it hard to overcome my built up expectations of a new disc... I can't help but throw it how I think it should fly vs. how it really flies. Especially a disc that is so intrinsic to your game, I think it would be hard to accept the overstability of it early on since you have so much muscle memory of all of your other Pigs. The gummy/grip would definitely be an additional obstacle that makes me want to wait for a stiffer version. Thanks Robbie!

Absolutely! THese premium ones have TONS of expectations around them. I hope it comes across in the video, but I actually loved how overstable it was! I think it would hold that flight for a longggg time which is one of my biggest complaints with pigs is how fast they lose their stability in the RPro! Just need it to not be soooo flimsy!

halo star is going to be more overstable than anyone wants or expects from a pig. halo star makes every mold significantly more overstable. it's not gonna be the flight you're looking for.

I feel like a forgotten child up here in Canada. Stuff like this will come in stock in a SINGLE store in the entire country, and then sell out before I even knew it was available. I want some different plastic pigs too but they are like unicorns up here.

Few things! 1. Wish you would’ve tested how it flew on anny since as you’ve stated before maintaining stability on anny is a weakness of the pig vs other OS approach discs, so would’ve been interesting seeing how the gummy champ held up. 2. Does flattening a disc affect its flight? Thinking of glide in particular as I’ve heard many people say that domey discs glide more due to more of an air pocket underneath the disc. And 3… thanks for the awesome video Robbie! As soon as I saw these drop I was looking forward to seeing your thoughts on em. Sad I couldn’t pick one up myself. Do ya think it’s making the bag or are you gonna hang it up like some of your other rare premium pigs?

Didn't think about the Anny test, will have to try that one out! I did try the second one I had without the dome removed, and similar flights. Sounds like from what I'm reading the color definitely showing some different flights. I've got a blue one hanging behind me, so I'll have to throw it to compare as well. I am not sure this one is making the bag, it feeling this gummy pre-Alabama heat is going to lower my confidence in it too fast!

wanna talk about cold hands it was 24 degrees fahrenheit when i played this morning but since i live in northern ontario just glad not to have 4 feet of snow at this point and am getting to play at all ... to all the warmer disc golfers enjoy have fun out there😀

So i have a question could the domeyness of the champ one be a way to make it fly more overstable because i saw an ama with korbin dunnipace where someone asked why they only make archangels in dx and he said that in any other plastic it does not fly like an archangel could that possibly be why they only make pigs in r-pro and the reason why the champ on has the dome to it

Hey Robbie, I got a Gummy Space Pig too and I was waiting to see if you made the "Fascinating" call on the smooth and easy straight flight vs. the more power = more fade. I said the same thing the first day I threw it. Very much reacted like a Zone OS. First throw on backhand it went flat to hyzer very quick. I may have to do the flatten method...that was sick! Another great video...bud!

Didn’t check the pigs out until I started watching your videos and being that Pig is love, I had to get a couple to check em out. Loved em from first feel. I got one of these gummy champs and am glad I did. I didn’t realize how hard they are to get ahold of. Saw an email about it and got it first thing in the morning when it went on sale not knowing I was buying disc gold. Love the vlogmas, happy holidays!

Could be because of the type of plastic but i heated it up and tried to take the dome out, but after a day the dome came back. Anyone succesfully take the dome out? Robbie did your dome come back?

I do the same technique for fixing warped discs, but I put a towel on the pot so it’s a barrier between the disc and the actual pot. Just a tip for y’all to save your discs and cooking ware!

My Gummy Champ Pig (blue with dome) flies similar to a new R-Pro one so far, but I've only played a couple of rounds with it. I was surprised to actually like the dome feel, but the how-to for flattening one was cool to see! I'm bagging it alongside a beat-in Ti FLX Zone, with the Pig being less stable and having considerably less glide. The Pig's 1 glide is what I love the most. It gives much tighter flex lines and less fade than approach discs like the Zone. It's chilly here... gonna be interesting to see what these feel like on a hot summer day!

I use the water method, however water only hot enough so you can see the steam. Setting 2 for electric stoves.

Interesting results my gummy pig flies a lot less stable than yours. It is consistently landing 5 to 10 ft shorter than my 21 Ricky pig, but has a very similar amount of fade.

I do find it easier to put only one disc UPSIDE DOWN as well on top and then add a centered weight on that disc. I have not flattened that much though, rather added dome on a disc to test the difference, doing that I set it on a deeper discs rim (a Pig is nice for example) to have room for the new little dome, and add weight centered within the rims the disc that is to be domed, sadly this can often reform to a flatter disc again after a while, like the rim just want it to be flat, different polymers act different I guess. Also melted a disc once... oopsie. :P
