Like your thoughts, their music evolved following the times. That's why, it's also good if you react their MV's in order. So you can really feel their music journey, how their music evolved time to time. But if you do that, prepare yourself before. Because you might be not like their song when reacting to their old stuff. Because maybe it will be feel to old to your taste, but maybe not. For me, their old song still good to these day, because I put it on my playlist. Also because their latest album called "Holiday Night" is soo good. So personally, I want you to react to it at last. And if you don't want to react their MV's in order, here is my recommendation Korea discography : "The Boys", "Hoot", "Oh!" and "Lion Heart". Japan discography: "All My Love Is For You", "Galaxy Supernova", "Paparazzi", "Flower Power" Their Sub-unit: "Twinkle" by TTS and "Lil' Touch" by Oh-Gg!

You chose to react to two of the "controversial" videos. IGAB was really polarizing when it came out, it was the first time that they did that multiple songs in one song thing that SM does. It does seem like most who disliked it, but are GG fans, eventually come around and love the song later. When Red Velvet came out with Zimzalabim it was immediately compared to IGAB, the same thing happened with Aespa, with Next Level. Mr. Mr. I'm still not clear on what exactly happened, but apparently the MV that was released, was not the MV that was intended, somehow a good amount of the original footage was just lost, and either they had to scramble to shoot a new MV, and/or pasted together the shots they did have. That's why the MV might seem a bit disjointed, I think the story was supposed to be a lot clearer. Regardless, I'm looking forward to your journey into GG.

IGAB is 'chaotic' because the lyrics are a bunch of girls gossiping about their boyfriends, or other girls' boyfriends, how they've changed now that they have a boyfriend...etc. so the music and rhythm changes accordingly.. I think it's really clever. Apart from their MVs, I'd recommend you check out a few of their (viewable) radio show appearances for some live singing and their antics ( they are famously funny and 'savage' in addition to their singing and dancing) AND you should definitely check out their live concert performances, which are on a 'whole other level'.

Lol... you picked a heck of a song for a first listen! IGAB put the whole Kpop world on it's ear when it first came out. NOBODY knew what to make of it at the time. Many people attribute this song to the beginnings of the "SM sound." That being said, SNSD is the yardstick by which every other girl-group gets measured.
