I’m a huge King fan and you’re largely correct but the more King you read the more you’ll realize there’s a much bigger story going on. A huge fan theory is that all of King’s worlds are different iterations/dimensions through the Dark Tower. For example, he’s never written about Pennywise before but NOS4A2 by Joe Hill and Later by King are 100% connected. He doesn’t name the creature in Later but… no spoilers. Same with NOS4A2 because…. No spoilers. TL;DR he’s even more amazing than most realize 😂

One pet peeve tgat I have is that some chapters start halfway down the page and this disrupts the flow. I have not read Salem’s Lot yet but it is next on my list. I just finished The Outsider and it was so good.❤

Hi, Katie! Salem’s Lot was my first Stephen King when it first published back in 1975. I remember being very impressed by it; I’d never read anything like it before! No inkling at that time he would go on to be such a standout, prolific author! Enjoy! 👻

Salem’s Lot is one of my favorite Stephen King novels and it is technically connected to the Dark Tower Series but you can enjoy and understand it without having read any of the dark tower books.

I first got recommended your channel thru Gabbyread’s video of her first Stephen King novel, The Long Walk. And I’m like “Noooo! Don’t start with that one, it’s terrible!” lol. I’ve read most of King’s early novels at least twice, and I agree The Stand was much better before he introduced the religious plot device. The chapter of random events is amazing. I was about to give up on Spy x Family because it wasn't doing what i wanted it to do but Volume 10 and 11 reeled me rught back in like a fish on a hook. So glad you loved Volume 10 too!

That's crazy. I gave myself the goal to read every Stephen King from the first he's written. So i've recently read salem's lot which was mehh. Which feels like an unpopular opinion. I liked the Shining! I never found Rage anywhere. Next is The stand but that is a THICK THICK BOY and i cant get myself to read it. So i'm stuck
