3:42 - a yes, seeking shelter while steering. The bane of flat, open top exposed sailing. Its either too hot, or too cold, too wet or too hard. I often considered a small "pod", that was removable and movable, a bit like a very short kayak, that had padded, supportive seating with coverage of legs and lower torso, and perhaps even an adjustable small umbrella. You could tie it in place in case of adverse weather. My imagination sees it long enough to recline and sleep in, with a suitable tent cover.

First, gotta say I love your video production values and especially your music choices. Here’s a tip for getting the peak up higher: set the sail before you attach the main sheet to the clew. Over tighten the peak halyard as it will slacken on its own. Fair winds!

SOOO great to see her out performing well. You boys looked like you handled her well. SSOOOO bummed you were up in my neck of the woods and didn;t get to come sail with you! Would love to have come hung out and cruised with you and the Ruddy Duck. Loved the canvas cockpit cover and am intrigued to see how it worked for you. @@zackariasthepirate thanks dude! Those were hand me downs from a buddies Prindle. They work pretty good and keep it simple. They can be a little hard to uncleat under heavy load but not bad.

Looking good, and sailing nicely. Would love to see a time-lapse of her setup, now that you are getting that down flat. Also, the 6hp seems to push her along nicely without trouble, do you think a 4hp motor would be ok?

@@paulblacquiere1749 thanks! Yeah I will try to a full time lapse of the setup. 6hp definitely gets us going. I think 4 would be fine for most situations. I found myself needing the extra power though when I had to motor into some heavy wind. I believe the 4,5,6 hp tohatsus are all the same motor and weight and just tuned more or less.

I met Mr. Wharram in Bohol Philippines. They did make some there on Panglao Is. Bohol.. And I did have a ride on a 40 footer in Isla Mujeres Mex. They are OK but NOT my type of a Catamaran.

PS. Enjoyed the music. Couldn't find any info on the performers. PPS - looks like you could get a bit of old seatbelt or nylon winch strap to pass under the centre of your forwards trampoline to raise it a bit.. Nothing worse than a cold bum shower on a hot day 🙂
