Wasting no time following last week's launch, SpaceX is back in "Full Send" mode and working around the clock. With a new crane arriving and the pile cap getting placed for the next launch tower, crews are pushing forward with construction of the next launch complex. Meanwhile, with stacking of Booster 15 in full swing, crews begin stripping Ship 30 of its TPS tiles following an engine swap.

I love the launches and flight test videos but the impressive construction of new infrastructure is the unsung hero of SpaceX that LabPadre covers so well. These are great behind-the-scenes views of SpaceX development that will be valuable to future aerospace historians.

What I love about SpaceX is that they waste zero time getting things done...They formulate an idea, and put it into practice...no bureaucracy and endless meetings. Its mainly why they've been able to advance the technology as much and as quickly as they have. NASA would still be having 10 meetings a day about various aspects of the new launch tower, and then putting forth proposals for bidding, waiting for bids, picking a winner, holding a press conference to announce the winning bidder, then more meetings with the contractor to put forth more ideas and changes to the design, and it would be 2040 before the first piling was driven into the ground...

The trucks hauling detention water show the lawsuit against SpaceX for water pollution to be without merit.
@just_archan
@just_archan 3 ай бұрын
Ehhh... Forget it. Those NGOs are hell bent against SpaceX. They are ideologically driven. They will fill every lawsuit they can, justified or not. They just hate Musk. Look at recent lawsuits, from Delaware. Additionally, expect some lunatics that will protest in near future. Probably only thing that prevented those protests was south Texan weather and bugs

I wondered about the trucks pumping water out of the catchments for the flame deluge. The water can't be that dirty. SpaceX should be able to spray it onto the ground to evaporate, or filter it into large tanks to reuse it. Almost certainly some self-important government regulator making aerospace more difficult and expensive than it should be.

Side topic: I’ve been wondering from the start why the shorter chopsticks for tower 2? Is it possible they will use tower 2 as a primary launching tower and tower 1 as the primary launching & catching? I’m not saying tower 2 has too short of arms to catch, but they might be?.?. It seems they will need as much length as possible to catch a booster or ship.?.? Any thoughts out there to my input? Or has someone already learned why they designed the shorter chopsticks?

Can anyone answer these questions: SpaceX has already said that Starbase factory in Texas will build all the spacecraft but Florida will become the working flight launch site with Starbase relegated to flying prototypes. Since Launch Pad 39a is going to have 2 towers constructed for launching Super Heavy, how do they intend to ship the booster and starship over to Florida from Texas? By truck? By rail? By barge? In pieces with final assembly in Florida? If so then they need to build an assembly building. If shipping full size components, are they shipped horizontally or vertically? These things are huge and MUCH larger than a Falcon 9. Regardless of the shipping method, they will require additional testing to ensure that nothing got broken during the transport to the site. What kind of testing facilities will be built in Florida?
@Spectator1959

The coolest method would be to launch them in Texas and land them in Florida. I fear it’s unlikely, but would be very Elon-zen… the best barge is no barge.

Wrong, wrong and very wrong. The NasaSpaceFlight channel has become basically unwatchable with all their PC, woke, fake accent, immature and ignorant children narrators now ruining about half of their otherwise excellent videos. This narration is the best covering SpaceX, with the exception of Elysia Segal at NSF.
