Also dropped the beams out and replaced the entire front suspension and steering parts, as well as every part of the 4x4 system and manual hub swap. I don't have a nice garage or a lift, i have a tiny dark cave of a garage and i can appreciate all of the work you did. You did such a great job!

Hey Sarah, that started up like you drove it in an hour ago 👍 and the exhaust had a nice rumble to it. I know you’re gonna check the headers but just keep an eye on them every set of headers I’ve ever put on always needed to be tightened up they’re notorious for coming loose I hope getting the AC up and running goes as smooth have a great one🐧🐧🐧👍

Love watching these videos... I'm an old Class A Gas ^ Diesel Mech... and I can't help myself from giving tech tips.... 1. the very last thing you do when you put a new engine in (or the same old one) is re-draining the water in the radiator and putting in anti freeze.... because... you never want to start the engine for the first time with anti freeze in it because... if you have leaks... you lose the anti freeze to the floor (or if you have like an intake leak or a head gasket or head leak, antifreeze is harder on the engine's guts than water is)... and 2. a lot of the older cars had AC units that kicked their compressor on even when they were turned off... just to run the freon through the system (actually the refrigerant oil that goes in with the freon that lubricates the compressor) to lube the compressor... so... without the lines hooked up and without freon and refrigerant oil in the unit... you'll want to be sure the compressor's clutch is unplugged so you don't burn out the compressor. And lastly 3. You probably knew this and accounted for it already... but just in case... you did get a radiator made for an air conditioned vehicle.... right? I mean they're thicker for a reason on AC vehicles. Just sayin....

@billymanilli 2 жыл бұрын
I normally just try to put everything together right the first time, so it doesn't leak, tbh... But, even better yet, the way I've been doing it for 15+ years now (the same way they fill them at the factory), is vacuum the system down for a few mins, so all the hoses are collapsed, make sure it holds for a min or so, and then let it suck the new coolant in and top off. Done deal. Leaked checked and full.
