Think gray curtains would be better than black. Gray would complement the floor and furniture better. Bring in the brass in with other accent pieces. Like brass handles on the media stand or drawers in the kitchen. But you already have gold accent pieces on your counter so think you’re good. Definitely blinds in the kitchen. It would let a lot of natural light in the day time when they’re up. Plus curtains in kitchen could be a fire hazard if close to the range.

Beautiful.❤ try putting the large sofa by the bigger window facing the loveseat sofa and the two chairs where the big sofa is and spread them out a little. They look too jammed up. Give them a little room. Move that rug from the door and get something that is more dirt friendly. Next purchase a small round coffee table . I really think a small little Island would look great in the middle of your kitchen floor, which would be nice for preparing meals. You love to cook and that would be so convenient for you.
