The world of NIKKE is very Nier Automata-inspired (fitting they had a collab earlier), as in it's very, very bleak. While there are happier and wholesome moments, the game will often remind you that their world sucks and tragedy is bound to happen. Nikkes are not robots. They are still human, in a way. Well, their brain is the only human part of them that remains, the rest is just a mechanical body that perfectly simulates human senses. That said, discrimination is very high and they're often treated like shit. This tidbit is canon btw. The reason Nikkes look the way they are is purely because this is what they desired best. Yes, they *want* to look like that...if they are lucky. If they're not, and this is usually the case, they are shunted into faceless mass-produced units whose job is to be cannon fodder.

@@ArtemisLunaVT yep, after the first few events the developers decided to drastically lower the difficulty of all future events so that anyone can play them. I have a few friends who have only done dailies and events, then realized they had enough stuff to clear a good 10-12 chapters.

When I was in Japan I saw Nikke x Evangelion event marketing on digital bill boards in stations and on the buildings in Shibuya. While I never even heard about it in my own country. There was also merch in stores like Animate and Kotobukiya. I saw it come up so often, I had to see what the game was about. Soon after sank several hundred euro into it haha

as someone who started this 8 months ago, i've just recently broken the level 160 barrier, but even so was able to complete 16 chapters and part of chapter17 + all side quests in the meantime. never got bored. So definitely plenty to do. You're going to be on a little bit of a crutch since you missed RedHood and Black Scarlet (two HUGE damage dealers), so you're going to be in for a long grind. But, there's tons of content to enjoy and backstory to learn. Also, you can play past event campaigns for more backstory information and character development if you ever get bored. I wish you luck in not balling your eyes out at the dark storyline and painful backstories of so many of these nikke.

@@ArtemisLunaVT but of course! There's so little truly invested content creators interested in the story and content rather than *just* the assets of these lovely combat dolls. That being said, My biggest suggestion to you: Look all over the map for little glowing fragments littering the maps (the minimap will tell you how many of these fragments are around) Every chapter has a handful of fragments. They're songs, notes, diary clippings, news articles... They are your bread and butter for world building and you'll learn a LOT from them. Many of the news articles will make piecing the main campaign a lot more mentally impacting. Similarly the side quests: There's many side quests (usually two or three per chapter) so be sure to check that little orange chirpy-doodad on the left of the main screen from time to time because they can give you quests and gifts to boost your grind. They also help to tie together chapter stories too sometimes (I only realized that in chapter 15 lol Thirdly, focus on getting those black tickets when you use your gems to do draws. The banner pulls are nice but those black tickets are more useful in the long run for NIKKE you already have and want to limit break. (Duplicate cores *are not new NIKKE*. If you buy a core it is not the same as getting a NIKKE, it's only used for limit breaking so be sure to only grab cores for NIKKE you already have and want to break. Generally speaking you want to focus on the 5 you plan to use in the synchronization device, which comes into big play later in the game. They refresh the shop often, and a union will open up another shop you can get cores in too. (Though most unions only accept high level players. Might be better off making one for your viewers to join in on instead once you get comfortable enough for that. ;) ) And finally feel free to ask questions! The NIKKE community is suuuuper friendly for the most part, we're always looking for new commanders to enjoy the chaos with! It was a joy watching your first impressions, and I'm looking forward to seeing more! (Honestly I'm sad I didn't stream or record my first impressions, this game is a gem in a pool of perversion. XD)

I already know your in 3 months worth of progress but for any future gamers that see this video and decide to try their hands on Nikke Some good early starter tips that weren't exactly told to you or you could of done to make your journey easier. 1. This isn't to be mean to the streamer but something that you as the player should do is. Read. Use your mouse, or touch pad to look around at icon descriptions everything is labeled out well and has info under everything that most early questions the streamer had could of easily been answered herself. Until chapters 20 and onwards (late game) you do not really need to worry about Element types or very strong team structures. The basic knowledge that you need to know is Read the skills. Each Nikkie is put into 2 sets of catagorys based on their Weapon and Class Type. Weapons being SMG, Grenade, Assault, Sniper and MG. With the class types being Attacker Defender and Support. Knowing what class a Nikke has and their weapon is most of the telling of the type of skills and their strengths the Nikke is going to have For example. Those that are Snipers or MGs tend to have more support Roles giving buffs that buffs certain stats Nikkies while those with Assault or grenades tend to be more towards Damage both direct and AOE With SMG and Grenade being more of the overall buffer with more shielding, invulnerability healing ect. Early on experiment with your team and Nikke's it's okay to level whoever your chosen 5 is because Nikke has the ability for you to for the small cost of 10 Gems. Allows you to completely reset a characters level with full refund of resources allowing you to then give those to another Nikke. Meaning you can completely replace 1 team of 5 with another team with no lost of power outside of just gear or skills. Gear is very important and is a major factor in changing the difference between victory and defeat. Gear is also specific to Classes, like I mentioned earlier. A Nikke that is a Attack can switch gear with another Attacker Nikke However not with anyone else like a Defender or Support they have their own gear. Placement is very important especially if you plan on autoing through battles The way that Auto burst works is it goes from left to right So the Nikke at the left Burst of available will activate first. So if your team is I II III II III It will follow the pattern of doing 1 2 and 3. Then next time around 1 4 5 Even if you do Burst manually the way they will arrange it is again left on top first. So in the same layout when it comes to showing you level 2 burst it's going to show Nikke # 2 then #4. So if you wanted #4 to be first you would switch them around slot wise. And last good tip is to pay attention to patterns and to not be afraid to take over control. As the difficulty rises you will have to take more and more control over your Nikke's so knowing what Rapture units do what, what their attack patterns are and when you need to just hide behind cover is going to make later boss fights and stages very easy. A good example would be the Train boss fight At the beginning of the fight and throughout it it will fire missiles at you Same with the Blacksmith that fires bombs at your Girls. The thing is these explosives are Homing meaning that they will be aimed at go directly towards a Nikke. The thing is the cover system is there to keep you alive in more ways than you think. Cover health takes priority over your Nikke's own and any damage that goes over does not get carried to your girls So if your cover HP is at 1 HP but your covered Nikke gets hit by a big attack That extra damage disappears and doesn't follow after the Nikke making Cover immensely powerful as a 1 time safe guard against 1 hit koes Not only that remember these projectiles are hiking **Meaning* they try to follow the Nikke And since when you switch spots a different hit box is then formed I.e if your in cover your Nikke cannot be hit and this only the cover can Or out of cover your cover won't get hit only you. If you time moving in and out of cover right You can switch spots just in time to completely have all missiles or explosives miss both your Nikke and the cover. Something immensely helpful in later fights like the Modern is boss fights where she shotgun fires at light speed a swarm of bombs where if you move your team into or out of cover you dodge all of it
